I love entrepreneurship. I love the freedom, the creativity, the ability to build something from an idea and shape a life around what matters most to me. I love that I can build a clinic I believe in while still being home with my children.
But I also know that freedom doesn’t always feel like freedom when you’re in the middle of building + mothering.
There is so much unseen work in starting from scratch. Showing up when the momentum hasn’t arrived yet. Making decisions without knowing exactly how they’ll turn out. Learning from your mistakes, picking yourself back up and choosing to keep going.
You have to become comfortable being a beginner. You have to learn to be resilient, to stay committed to the vision even when the day-to-day feels a little messy, and to be discerning about whose advice you allow to shape your decisions.
Not every opinion deserves a seat at your table. I’m learning to seek guidance from people whose work, values and lives I genuinely admire, and to remember that the easiest decision isn’t always the one that will help me grow right now but will build a foundation.
Sometimes growth asks you to have the difficult conversation. To try something new. To be seen before you feel entirely ready. To take responsibility for the part of your future that’s yours to create.
And slowly, those decisions expand what you’re capable of holding. They build your confidence, your capacity and your tolerance for the uncertainty that comes with becoming something more.
That is part of why our first Mama team meeting meant so much to me.
My vision for Mama has never been just about growing a clinic. It’s about creating an environment where other practitioners can grow into the people and business owners they’re capable of becoming, too.
And together we can make a much larger impact in serving mothers than if we weree to do it alone.
A little bit of a different share here, but I promise the rosehip tincture recipe is coming soon 🌿
