It was a wonderful day connecting with our community at the Wasaga Beach Seniors Expo!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to learn more about Hospice Georgian Triangle's programs, services, volunteer opportunities, and advance care planning resources. It was a pleasure meeting so many members of our community and sharing how we're here to support individuals and families throughout South Georgian Bay.

Pictured are Ella (student), Lorraine (volunteer), April Lawson, Wish & Volunteer Coordinator, and Thai Shelton (volunteer), who welcomed visitors throughout this well-attended event.

Meet two of our amazing Kitchen Angels!

Dave Stoodley and Andy Sykes are part of the incredible volunteer team that helps prepare meals, support our kitchen, and create a warm, welcoming environment for patients and families at Campbell House.

Volunteering in the kitchen is about more than food, it's about compassion, connection, and making someone's day a little brighter.

If you enjoy cooking, working as part of a team, or simply want to give back to your community, we'd love to welcome you as a Kitchen Angel.

Today, we honour all fathers, and those holding space for fathers they miss.
At Hospice Georgian Triangle, we witness the quiet strength, guidance, and love that fathers bring into the lives of those around them every day.

To all the dads in our community, Happy Father’s Day.
And to those feeling a deep absence today, please know that we are with you.

Whether you're celebrating, remembering, or both, may your day be filled with love, reflection, and connection.

We're honoured to share that Hospice Georgian Triangle has received the 2026 Mount Pleasant Group Hospice Innovation Award for our Palliative Care Resource Nurse (PCRN) program.

Through a unique partnership with Collingwood General & Marine Hospital, this role helps patients and families navigate serious illness, understand their options, and access the right care at the right time.

In its first year, the program supported 461 referrals, including 233 direct hospice referrals, 126 transfers to Campbell House, and more than 100 emergency department consultations.

This recognition celebrates the power of collaboration, compassionate care, and putting patients and families at the centre of every decision.

Congratulations to CEO Trish Rawn, Alanna Roylance and all those who helped make this innovative program possible.

Congratulations to Linda Skeries on receiving the June Callwood Outstanding Achievement Award for Voluntarism.

For 11 years, Linda has been a dedicated volunteer with Hospice Georgian Triangle, supporting patients, families, staff, and fellow volunteers with compassion, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to care.

Linda's guiding principle has always been simple: "What is best for Hospice?" Whether supporting patients and families, helping in the kitchen, serving at reception, or sharing her voice through the Hospice Choir, she is always willing to step in wherever she is needed.

Her positive attitude, caring nature, and selfless dedication have made a lasting impact on countless lives.

Thank you, Linda, for everything you do. This recognition is so well deserved, and we are proud to celebrate you.

Grief looks different for everyone, and there’s no “right” way to move through it. Sometimes, small acts of care can help us feel connected, grounded, and supported along the way.

Here are three gentle reminders for moments when grief feels heavy:

Continue the bond
Talk to them, write a letter, or do something that reminds you of them.
Create rituals
Light a candle, listen to a meaningful song, or take a quiet moment to remember them.
Practice self-care
Drink some water, get outside, rest, and nourish your body as best you can.

Be gentle with yourself. Healing is not linear, and you do not have to carry it alone.

At Hospice Georgian Triangle, we know the importance of taking time to connect, laugh, and enjoy moments together outside of the meaningful work we do each day.

Recently, members of our staff and volunteer team came together for a fun evening of bowling organized through our Social Committee, and there were plenty of laughs both on and off the lanes.

Thank you to our incredible team for bringing such warmth, energy, and camaraderie to everything you do.
