We are excited to introduce our Doctoral Intern, Emily Rowe! Emily will be seeing children and adolescents for therapy services at a reduced rate. She helped facilitate our anxiety group last spring and will be facilitating this group again next month (stay tuned for more information on that!)

Get to know Emily and her areas of expertise ⤵️

🎓 Emily is a 2nd year Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) student at Memorial University. She holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology (Honors) and a Masters in Experimental Psychology (Health and Wellness) from Memorial University. Her undergraduate and graduate research focused on mental health, substance use, drug education and harm reduction.

🧠 Emily’s current doctoral research explores the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) on emotion regulation, parenting, and family and relationship functioning. Clinically, she is interested in working with children and adolescents experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and difficulties with emotion and behavioural regulation.

⚽️🐶 Outside of her academic and clinical work, she enjoys travelling, reading, sports, coaching soccer to youth with exceptionalities, and spending time with her dogs!

❤️ Emily is passionate about ensuring youth have access to the resources and support they need to foster their development and succeed despite the challenges they face.
