June is Cataract Awareness Month! Cataracts are the result of the lens in your eye becoming cloudy. The size and amount of cloudiness can vary from a small area to a larger opaque area causing some vision loss. Almost everyone will get cataracts as we age; however they are more prominent in those over the age of 60. Although there is no definite way of preventing them; wearing sunglasses to protect your eyes from UV rays and eating foods rich in antioxidants can help slow the development. Book an appointment today with your Optometrist to discuss any symptoms associated with the development of cataracts. https://opto.ca/sites/default/files/cataracts_-_en_lr.pdf?fbclid=IwAR29a2ib80n3LzRhJDD4QU4YnnFV-QLNyj8rctptixiqZEAGKnLm4kW2M1Q

We are happy to announce that we have reopened our clinic for appointments, glasses purchases, repairs and contact lens ordering. The health and safety of our patients and customers are of utmost importance to us. Part of our reopening is ensuring our office follows the province’s new health regulations. symptoms of the COVID-19 virus, you must stay home and not
come into our clinic
• Masks must be worn at all times in the office (no exceptions)
• A maximum amount of 10 people in our clinic at one time
(including staff), you may be asked to wait either outside or in
your vehicle while we assist others
• Social distance of 2 metres should be kept when possible
• All instructions from our staff must be followed to ensure the health and safety of everyone in the office
• Our optical displays are closed to free browsing, a staff
member must assist you when shopping for frames
• Frame repairs or adjustments are by appointment only

We thank you all for your patience and understanding during this uncertain time, we are excited to be open again and look forward to seeing everyone soon!

On Remembrance Day we take time to honor the soldiers who fought for us in the past and those who continue to fight for freedom. There are many events being held across the Lower Mainland - We invite you to join your fellow Canadians at your local Remembrance Day ceremony to show respect and support for our veterans.

Canadians from coast to coast will take a moment on Monday to remember those who have served the country in times of war and peace.
