No, it's not all men. Of course it isn't. But if you feel that you have to defend yourself, you're part of the overall problem. in 2022, 44% of women in Canada (6.2 million women) aged 15 and older reported some kind of abuse in their intimate partner relationship. That's double the size of the entire Lower Mainland of British Columbia (16 incorporated cities).
***And that's just the ones we know about, the ones that get reported***
Only approx. 19% of us tell anyone (I never did) and that's only the statistics for intimate partners...not the strangers, the relatives, etc.
Let's talk bigger...as in the United States. Are you ready? ONE IN THREE WOMEN. Read that again.
Nearly 100% of my female clients have been sexually assaulted or physically assaulted. Usually it's both. Most of them never told anyone about it.
