☀️Don’t let pain put summer plans on hold!

Whether you’re hitting the trails, spending the day at the beach, playing pickleball, or heading out on a road trip, summer often means we’re moving more, and sometimes asking a little more of our bodies.

Here are 4 common aches that can show up during the warmer seasons:
☀️ Shoulder pain from swimming
🥾 Knee pain after hiking
🚙 Back pain from long drives
🎾 Elbow pain from racquet sports or pickleball

The good news? Many of these issues can be prevented or managed with the right preparation, proper recovery, and a little guidance.

Cindy Solkin is the founder of Healthy Cindy. She is a holistic nutritionist and homeopath with over 20 years of experience as a complimentary health practitioner.

Becoming a health professional has been the culmination of Cindy’s journey. She struggled with her weight and various health issues, including infertility and arthritis, which led her to seek out a healthier lifestyle.

Food is a passion of hers, but so is wellness. Many people suffer both physically and emotionally and feel that they’re unable to find a path to health and wellness. Cindy considers it her mission to help them find that path.

Cindy works with clients to identify healthy life choices and make positive changes. Her areas of experience include inflammatory issues, autoimmune disorders, allergies, weight management, digestive issues, hormone imbalances, and more. She has also developed her own program for eliminating emotional eating called ‘Freedom from the Fridge’. You can discover more about that here: https://www.healthycindy.com (https://www.healthycindy.com/).
Additionally, Cindy has served as a personal life coach and Pilates instructor. She is also certified in aromatherapy, Bach remedy therapy, and guided imagery.

In her spare time, Cindy loves to cook and is always exploring new recipes. Her latest passion is gluten-free baking. She’s a voracious reader, especially mysteries. And of course, lots of Pilates!

If you’re thinking more about your nutrition and looking to make some healthy changes, Cindy would be happy to chat with you. Book an appointment today!

Move from pain to possibility.
Sam helps people do exactly that, whether it’s after a car accident, workplace injury, or training setback. Many of her clients arrive feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, and disconnected from the body they once trusted, unsure if they’ll ever return to the life they once had.
Sam’s role is to help you see that healing isn’t about going back. It’s about rebuilding forward, starting with simple movement patterns, then building strength, control, and the confidence to do hard things again.

Her approach blends active rehab, movement retraining, and pain education to support clear, sustainable progress. With each step, you rebuild trust, restore function, and return to the things that matter most, on your own terms.

Sam holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University and is a Registered Kinesiologist with the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists. She’s certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine in corrective exercise, behaviour change, and nutrition and weight management, and has also completed the Moving Through Pain program with Pain Canada.
Her clinical background includes MVA recovery, workplace injury rehab, and athletic reconditioning in both in-person and remote care settings.

If you’re ready to reconnect with your body and believe in what it can do again—Sam’s here to walk beside you.

Last week Triumph’s Karen had the wonderful opportunity to attend the WCCMT Connections Fair, connecting with soon-to-be RMT graduates. It was an amazing time talking with so many talented, passionate future colleagues in wellness. Their dedication and excitement for the work ahead was truly inspiring, and Triumph looks forward to seeing the positive impact these new practitioners will bring to the lives of their clients in the years to come. It’s a joy to witness the next generation of skilled, caring RMTs preparing to make a difference!

Triumph’s Dr. Jing Yuan and Karen Bhartu were honoured to speak at the Canadian Traditional Chinese Medicine Development Alliance Round Table session earlier this April!
The discussion focused on effective communication with ICBC, treatment plan submissions, barriers to treatment, and ongoing care direction in ways that best support client recovery outcomes.

The team is incredibly grateful to the CTCMDA for the invitation and for fostering meaningful collaboration within the Traditional Chinese Medicine community. Opportunities like these reflect a shared commitment to continued learning, professional excellence, and client-centred care.

Acupuncture continues to play an important role in supporting healing and recovery, and the team is proud to contribute to conversations that help strengthen care for clients across the community.💙
