Meet Cooper. 💚
This little guy is currently in the fight of his life.
On May 22, what should have been his parents’ joyful 24-hour countdown to their wedding day became every parent’s worst nightmare.
Instead of celebrating, they received devastating news: their youngest of four children had been diagnosed with high-risk B-cell lymphoma.
Cooper began chemotherapy that very same day and has remained at CHEO undergoing intensive treatment. Along the way, his chemotherapy had to be paused after he experienced swelling of the brain and seizures. Treatment has since resumed, but the aggressive chemotherapy is taking a significant toll on his little body.
His mom has remained by his side every step of the way. His dad is working out of town to support the family as they navigate life on a single income, while Nana took time off work to care for two of Cooper’s siblings at home.
This family holds a very special place in our RMT Mel’s heart as Cooper is her little nephew.
To help support them during this incredibly difficult time, we will have a donation box at the front desk, and we will also be accepting e-transfers, with all proceeds going directly to the family.
