THIS FRIDAY!

People really out there saying stuff like, "You should be focused on just women's health, they're the ones who grow the baby!" We hear you, but we also focus on the health and development of the little Owira':a too, and to do that, we sometimes have to focus on the health of the Bubbas.
50% of the baby's genetic code comes from ol' Big Dog Bubba, and his pre-conception health and lifestyle directly determine the quality of his s***m, which in turn shapes placental health, the risk of miscarriage and ultimately the health of the little ones.
"Wait, so like, pre-eclampsia can be influenced by the father?" Yep, the father's genes predominantly form the fetal side of the placenta and how the organ develops.
S***m quality also contributes to the risk of spontaneous miscarriage, with up to 30% of first trimester losses being directly related to s***m quality. The risk is increased by 1.27 times for fathers over the age of 35, and a 23% higher likelihood for those between 40-44.
You can find out more about all of that here:

Niawen to everyone who joined us for Part 4 of our Childbirth Education Series! We had a full house this week, and it was especially nice to see some couples coming out together.

This week’s class was all about labor and birth. We talked about movement, positions for labor, comfort measures, and everyone had a chance to try out the birth stool, TENS unit, rebozo and massage tools & all the different ways to support the birthing process.

There’s still time to join us for our final class next week as we talk about postpartum care. It’s a topic that doesn’t always get enough attention, but it’s such an important part of the journey.

Send us a DM if you’d like to join!

Niawen to everyone who joined us for this past week’s Childbirth Education Class Part 2 💛

We focused on the 2nd trimester. Participants explored how nourishment and movement can support both parent and baby during this stage, and each person went home with meal gift cards to help put that learning into practice.

We’re now moving into Part 3 next Wednesday, where we’ll dive into the 3rd trimester. This session is all about preparing for birth, understanding what to expect in the final weeks, and feeling more confident as you approach labour and delivery.
Space is still open! Come join us and walk away feeling informed, supported, and more ready for your birth journey. Dm to sign up!
