Step into one of the most powerful stories in SDG Counties history.

Driving along Highway 2 past the The Lost Villages Museum, many pass by without realizing the incredible story beneath the water.

On Tuesday, February 17 at 7 PM, join the SD&G Historical Society Speaker Series at Schnitzels Restaurant in Cornwall for a compelling presentation by Jim Brownell — local historian, president of the Lost Villages Historical Society, and eyewitness to the St. Lawrence Seaway and Hydro Development projects of the 1950s.

Jim will share personal stories, rare archival images, and a firsthand account of the six villages, three hamlets, and farming communities lost to progress, bringing history vividly to life.

This is a must-attend event for history lovers, lifelong residents, and anyone curious about the stories that shaped our region.
