✨ It’s back. ✨

After a little time away, one of our most beloved monthly offerings is returning to the Mandakani schedule:

🤍 Reiki & Restorative 🤍

Our first gathering back will be Sunday, September 27. Online registration isn’t available quite yet, but you don’t have to wait to save your spot! Comment on this post or send us a DM and we can add you to the class from our end.

For two full hours, you’re invited to slow all the way down.

This deeply restful practice blends the gentle, supported stillness of restorative yoga with Reiki, creating space to rest, soften, receive, and simply be for a while.

And just like before, Reiki + Restorative will return once a month with an intentionally smaller class size than our regular classes. This gives everyone the space, time, and individual attention that makes this practice so special—which also means spots are limited.

You don’t need to be flexible. You don’t need to know anything about Reiki. You don’t even need to be “good” at relaxing. You just need to show up.

Wear your comfiest clothes and bring a yoga mat and a blanket. We’ll provide the rest. 🤍

✨ Reiki + Restorative Yoga
✨ Returns Sunday, September 27 @ 6:00 pm
✨ 2 hours
✨ $30 + tax
✨ $15 + tax for Unlimited Members
✨ Limited class size

If you’ve been missing this one, we’ve been missing it too. And if you’ve never experienced Reiki + Restorative with us before, this is your invitation.

Want one of the September spots? Comment below or send us a DM and we’ll get you added. 🤍

🌙 UNDER THE MOON
movement • ritual • reflection

There is something lovely about having a reason to gather, slow down, notice where we are, and mark the passing of time with a little more intention.

From September through June, we’ll gather Under the Moon for five new moons and five full moons, exploring the different qualities, traditions and symbolism associated with each.

Each 90-minute gathering will be a little different.

We’ll learn about the particular moon we’re gathering under—its season, its phase, its traditional themes and symbolism—and then move out of our heads and into the experience.

Expect gentle yoga and movement, moments of quiet and reflection, and an intentional ritual or practice inspired by that month’s moon. Some months we may write. Some months we may release something, create something, light something, or simply sit with what is asking for our attention.

✨ You don’t need to know anything about moon phases.
✨ You don’t need to follow a particular spiritual tradition.
✨ You don’t even have to decide exactly what you believe about any of it.

You’re invited to come with curiosity.

This is a space for ritual without rules, reflection without expectation, and an opportunity to make an ordinary evening feel just a little bit magical.

Late summer invites us to appreciate everything that’s growing while remembering to stay rooted.

Just like a tree draws strength from its roots before reaching toward the sky, our bodies often move with more ease when we begin by finding a steady foundation.

Today’s practice explores grounding through the feet and legs before gradually inviting openness through the side body and breath.

Move with curiosity.

Notice where you feel steady.

Notice where you wobble.

Both experiences belong.

🌱 Curiosity Corner

Did you know that balance begins with your feet?

Each foot contains 26 bones, 33 joints, and over 100 muscles, tendons, and ligaments working together to help you adapt to uneven ground, absorb force, and keep you upright. Taking a moment to feel your feet connect with the earth can influence balance all the way up the body.

💚 Reflection

Where in your life do you already have a strong foundation that you may have forgotten to appreciate?

Take what you need, leave what you don’t, and remember—you belong here.

🧘‍♀️Pose Exploration

Extended Side Angle (Utthita Pārśvakoṇāsana)

Every body experiences this pose a little differently.

Today, rather than asking how Extended Side Angle should look, let’s explore how it feels.

This pose asks us to create both strength and spaciousness at the same time.

One leg works steadily.

The side body lengthens.

The breath finds a little more room.

🌿Words of Wisdom

“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.”

— Bhagavad Gītā

It’s easy to think yoga is about becoming someone different.

More flexible.

More peaceful.

More balanced.

But perhaps yoga isn’t asking us to become someone new.

Perhaps it’s inviting us to become more familiar with who we’ve been all along.

Every practice is another opportunity to listen a little more closely.

To notice.

To explore.

To come home to yourself.

💚 Reflection

What have you learned about yourself through your practice recently?

Stretch & Restore with Kim

Tuesday Evenings @ 7:45

Sometimes the practice we need isn’t about doing more.

Stretch & Restore is an invitation to slow things down, move gently, and spend a little time simply being present.

Kim brings the class together through breath, gentle movement, stretching and restorative practice, with an invitation to notice what you’re carrying—and perhaps release a little of what no longer needs to come with you.

There’s no expectation that you arrive calm.

You don’t need to be flexible.

You don’t need to know what you’re doing.

And you definitely don’t need to look like the person on the mat beside you.

This is a space to move, breathe, get comfortable, use the props, and experience the practice in the way that works for your body.

Because yoga doesn’t require you to arrive as a particular version of yourself.

You don’t need experience to begin. You just need curiosity.

🌱 A Moment of Curiosity

What are you carrying right now that you might be ready to put down—even just for the length of a practice?

Come exactly as you are.

We’ll meet you exactly where you are today, because that’s where every practice begins. 💚

Maybe you’ve thought about becoming a yoga teacher.

Maybe you simply keep finding yourself wanting to know more—about yoga, movement, the body, the philosophy behind the practice, or yourself.

Both are wonderful reasons to begin. 🤍

Our 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training isn’t about perfecting poses, memorizing scripts, or learning to teach exactly like we do.

It’s about getting curious.

Over 10 months, we’ll explore anatomy and movement, yoga history and philosophy, breathwork, meditation, sequencing, the nervous system, trauma-informed teaching, accessibility and inclusion—and how all of these pieces come together in a thoughtful, authentic practice.

Our training groups are intentionally small, leaving plenty of room for discussion, questions, exploration, individual support, connection, and probably a fair amount of laughing along the way.

You’ll learn with two instructors who bring a combined 50 years of yoga practice to the room—and who still consider themselves students, too. We continue to learn, take courses, follow evolving science, question our own understanding, and remain curious.

Because becoming a yoga teacher doesn’t mean finally knowing everything.

It means learning how to keep asking good questions.

Come because you want to teach. Come because you want to deepen your practice. Come because something about yoga keeps making you want to know more.

There’s room for all of that here. 🤍

And if teaching is where this takes you, our goal isn’t for you to leave sounding like us.

It’s to help you find the knowledge, confidence, and curiosity to teach like you.

Flow & Release

Fridays @ 6:00am

The end of the week can leave a story in our bodies.

Maybe your shoulders have been carrying more than they need to.

Maybe your hips are asking for a little more space.

Or maybe you’ve simply been moving from one thing to the next without a moment to pause.

Flow & Release is an invitation to slow the pace.

Through a gentle, intentional flow, we’ll explore mindful movement that encourages mobility through the hips and shoulders while reconnecting with the breath. It’s a practice designed to help you let go of the week’s tension and create space—both in the body and in the mind.

You don’t need to keep up.

You don’t need to perform.

You don’t need to be flexible.

This class isn’t about doing more.

It’s about noticing what your body has been asking for all week and giving yourself permission to listen.

You don’t need experience to begin. You just need curiosity.

Whether you’re stepping onto a yoga mat for the very first time or returning after years of practice, we’ll meet you exactly where you are.

🌿 Pose Exploration

Triangle Pose (Trikoṇāsana)

Every body experiences this pose a little differently.

Today, rather than asking how Triangle Pose should look, let’s explore how it feels.

In yoga, we’re often encouraged to reach farther—to touch the floor, straighten the legs, or open the chest a little more.

But what if the invitation wasn’t to go farther…

What if it was simply to become more aware?

🕉 Sanskrit

Trikoṇāsana (tree-koh-NAH-suh-nuh)

Tri means three, and koṇa means angle, giving us the familiar “Three-Angled Pose.”

🌿 Stretches

• Hamstrings
• Adductors (inner thighs)
• Side body
• Chest and shoulders

💪 Strengthens

• Legs and glutes
• Ankles and feet
• Core and obliques
• The postural muscles that help support a long, steady spine

💚 Invites

Balance.

Steadiness.

Perspective.

A reminder that we can feel both grounded and expansive at the same time.

✨ Explore This

Your lower hand doesn’t have to reach the floor.

Try placing it on your shin or a yoga block instead.

Sometimes raising the floor allows the spine to lengthen, the chest to open more comfortably, and the breath to move more freely.

Yoga isn’t about making your body fit the pose.

It’s about allowing the pose to meet your body.

🌱 Curiosity Corner

Did you know that the Sanskrit names of yoga poses often describe their shape rather than how they’re meant to look?

Trikoṇāsana simply means Three-Angled Pose. It doesn’t tell us how low to reach, how flexible to be, or what the pose should look like.

Instead, it reminds us that yoga has always been about the experience of the posture—not performing it perfectly.

💚 Reflection

Where in your life could you create a little more space instead of trying a little harder?

Perhaps that’s one of the quiet lessons of Triangle Pose.

Take a few breaths.

Notice what you discover.

Take what you need, leave what you don’t, and remember—you belong here. 💚
