We love a new artwork in the therapy room that is incredibly relatable.

Let’s talk about overthinking… Replaying conversations, reading into that “k” text, imagining every possible outcome, or lying in bed at night suddenly remembering something mildly embarrassing from 2017 🙃

Overthinking can be exhausting. Sometimes our brains are just trying to make sense of things, solve problems, or prepare us for what might happen next, even when there’s nothing that actually needs solving.

Learning to notice these thought patterns and create a little more space from them can make a big difference.

There can be pressure to feel happier when the sun is out shining, plans are happening, and everyone seems to be enjoying their summer.

But grief and loss don’t follow the calendar or the weather.

You can appreciate a walk by the water, feel the warmth of the sun, or share a laugh with your friends or family and still carry sadness. Those experiences don’t cancel each other out, they can exist together.

Thinking of those who are navigating grief, loss and heavy emotions 💜

Remember to breathe 🧡

In counselling, we often talk about finding practical ways to reconnect with the present when anxiety feels overwhelming. A slow breath isn't about "fixing" anxiety, it's about giving your mind and body a moment to reconnect.

What simple reminder do you come back to when life feels overwhelming?

Inner child healing is about creating a relationship with yourself that’s built on compassion, understanding, and safety.

Many of the patterns we carry into adulthood began as ways of coping, protecting, or meeting needs that weren’t fully understood at the time. The younger parts of us learned what they needed to survive.

Reparenting is the process of gently turning toward those parts with curiosity:
✨ What did I need but didn’t receive?
✨ What emotions did I learn to hide?
✨ How can I offer myself the care, validation, and support I needed?

Healing happens when we tune into the parts of ourselves that are asking to be seen, heard, and cared for.

Have you ever felt like it was your job to keep everyone else happy?

The “peacemaker” role can develop very quietly over time. It can look like avoiding conflict, feeling responsible for other people’s emotions, or feeling guilty for setting boundaries.

These patterns often begin as ways of adapting to our environment. What once helped us cope may no longer be serving us in adulthood.

Healing doesn’t mean becoming less caring. It can mean learning that you can be compassionate without carrying the weight of everyone else’s wellbeing, that having your own needs is more than okay.

You deserve relationships where care goes both ways 💙

As a q***r therapist, this one is close to my heart: Trans rights are human rights 🏳️‍⚧️

Everyone deserves to be respected, affirmed, and free to live as their authentic self.

Sending love to anyone who needs a reminder that you belong exactly as you are 💖

Friendly reminder that constantly holding it together is still exhausting, even if you’re good at it.

Therapy can be a space where you don’t have to perform, carry everything alone, or keep saying “I’m fine.”

You deserve a space to feel supported too 💖

🌊 Spending time in my favourite place.

The ocean has always felt like home. It’s also a reminder to release the breath I didn’t realize I was holding.

We all need spaces where our feelings are allowed to exist.

Maybe it’s in the therapy room.
Maybe it’s by the water.
Maybe it’s somewhere quiet and grounding, where you can just be.

Wherever it is, these spaces matter. They give us the chance to slow down, to listen inward, and to sit with what’s real.

You don’t have to rush your feelings.
You just need a place that feels safe enough to hold them 🌊
