Did you know that, in addition to teaching first aid here in our amazing community of Dauphin, I also coordinate the first aid team for Dauphin's Countryfest?

Every year, an incredible group of volunteers helps keep festival-goers safe while enjoying Canada's longest-running country music festival. From treating the occasional blister or bee sting to responding to something more serious, our volunteers make a real difference.

One of the best parts? It's an opportunity to put your first aid skills into practice in a supportive environment, build confidence, meet some amazing people, and create memories you'll never forget.

If you've taken a first aid course and have ever wondered, "Would I actually be able to help in a real emergency?"—this is a fantastic way to gain experience while giving back to the community.

A huge thank you to this year's volunteer team. You make Countryfest a safer place for everyone. ❤️

Big announcement for Flatland First Aid!

We are officially an approved Canadian Red Cross Training Partner.

Flatland First Aid now offers both Canadian Red Cross and St. John Ambulance first aid and CPR training, allowing us to provide even more options and flexibility for workplaces, organizations, and private groups.

Courses available include:
• Emergency First Aid
• Standard/Intermediate First Aid
• CPR/AED
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Workplace and group training

This has been a big goal behind the scenes, and we’re excited to officially get started offering Red Cross courses alongside our existing St. John Ambulance training programs.

Weekend and some limited weekday availability and willing to travel.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Flatland First Aid so far. We’re excited for what’s ahead!

• Standard / Intermediate First Aid – May 23 & 24
• 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Emergency (Basic) First Aid – Saturday, September 13

Standard (Intermediate) First Aid – Saturday & Sunday, September 13–14

When and Where: 9am - 5pm, Dauphin Fire Hall

Emergency First Aid (1 Day):

- Basic life support skills
- CPR & choking response
- Recognizing and responding to common emergencies

Standard First Aid (2 Days):

- Everything covered in Emergency First Aid, plus:
- Secondary survey and ongoing patient care
- Additional medical emergencies
- Environmental emergencies
- Head/spinal injury care
