Tonight, I’m letting myself slow down, my body is tired, my mind is tender, and I’m sitting in that quiet space of reflection.

This week marked the start of my Somatic Yoga Therapy training, and it’s been such a joyful, immersive experience.

It’s also stirred something deeper in me; a sense of gratitude for where I am in life right now.

If I could go back and whisper to my 30-year-old self, I’d tell her this: Don’t fear getting older. It’s not something to brace for or dread. It’s a season where you will feel more alive, more focused, and more yourself than you ever thought possible.

Your voice gets clear and stronger. Your confidence grows. You finally feel like you can take up the space that’s always been yours.

To any woman standing on the edge of the wise woman years, unsure of what’s ahead, pour yourself a cup of tea and take a deep breath.

This chapter isn’t the end of your youth. It’s the start of feeling fully, fiercely YOU.💜

I see you longing for something different.

You might be afraid to trust trying one more time.

Because what if it doesn’t work?

Your fear is protecting you from failure.

Small but safe is the whisper.

What if you can look at the times things didn’t work out as the fuel that propelled you to where you actually need to be?

To reach for what scares you and also liberates you.

Your striving and seeking has not been in vain.

Instead, it’s been preparing you to receive the positive burden that is your growth; your transformation; your access to the light that has always been yours.

And that has been the plan that’s been unfolding all along.

The painful shards that have cut you deeply when pieced together complete the picture of your achingly beautiful wholeness.

Pain and fear transmuted by the clear brightness of your being.

You are a walking, talking miracle of your own making. You just didn’t believe it could be so.

Until you do.

And then you know for sure, you’ve finally arrived and claimed the wholeness that’s always been yours. ✨💜

Just be still.

It sounds simple, right?

Just stop, close your eyes, and relax for 10 minutes. Easy.

But there’s actually more to it than that.

Most people find stillness uncomfortable, and they might not even know why.

Our minds are relentless, with thoughts constantly racing back and forth between the past and the present.

When we try to be still, we can experience the chaotic whirlwind of our thoughts.

Our physical busyness keep us distracted from our thoughts, always focusing us on the next thing.

When our bodies are still, we realize how loud our minds are.

By letting go of physical tension, we can then experience mental tension.

And there’s a point to this.

By deepening our awareness of our thoughts while we’re still, we become less dominated by them.

The goal isn’t to stop thinking; that’s impossible.

The average person has about 60,000 to 100,000 thoughts a day.

The real liberation comes when we stop identifying with them.

I describe it as my thoughts shifting from a loud roar that dominates my life to a low-grade, sometimes annoying, white noise in the background that I can notice but don’t get hooked by, allowing me to carry on.

The telltale sign that you need stillness is when you don’t think you have time for it.

Stillness is about gaining access to the truth beneath the armour we build around our tender hearts.

What small steps can you take today to incorporate stillness into your routine and begin to notice the thoughts that once dominated your life?

What would it be like to hit pause on the need to know more?

What if the knowledge you’ve collected up to this point in your life is, in fact, enough for now?

In my work with clients, I notice some folks (me too!) are always on the lookout: trying out different therapies, attending workshops, listening to podcasts, reading self-help books, scrolling through social media, and so on.

It’s perfectly okay to learn and grow.

But the tricky part is when the drive to learn becomes a way to avoid being still enough to use the knowledge you already have.

I totally understand this because I do it too.

What if you started putting all the knowledge you already have into practice?

Most of us haven’t even scratched the surface of the resources we have right here, right now.

You already have a solid foundation.

To connect with this, you don’t need to seek, think, or search anymore.

You just need to connect to intentional action to free the gifts of what you’ve known all along.

The most important things take time.

Achieving your goals, planning for a holiday or a special occasion, working toward personal aspirations that make your life fulfilling and enjoyable. These are some of the things that make a life joyful and rewarding.

I love learning and always evolving in my business. It’s both deeply personally and professionally rewarding.

My private therapy practice has continued to evolve and grow along with me, and so has my vision for redesigning my business, brand, and website.

This recent transformation shares the beautiful addition of somatic-based work, ISTP™️, to my private therapy practice.

On November 1st, I moved into a larger office and studio space that perfectly mirrors the welcoming and warm energy I want to surround myself with.

This new space supports my dream of expanding my offerings in a warm and inviting environment.

For me, levelling up is a stormy and introspective journey.

My creative process thrives in quiet moments, where I can be free from distractions and immerse myself in inspiration and creative vision.

Then, the moment arrives, the door quietly opens, filling me with a renewed sense of energy and clarity, signalling that the time to share is finally here.

Why do you think? I’d love to hear your feedback! 💜

The sum total of your life is built upon the foundation of every choice you’ve made.

As a mental health professional, I guide clients through the profound journey of understanding these choices.

In our therapeutic process, we reach pivotal crossroads where we ponder the range of decisions before us.

It’s moments of quiet, and often difficult, introspection, where we carefully weigh options and potential outcomes.

This is where the work becomes intricate and deeply human, and choosing can be anything but simple.

Despite access to knowledge, insights from personal growth, and a deep understanding of oneself, clients sometimes choose not to change or deviate from their current path.

This isn’t a failure; it’s an active, informed decision made after thoughtful consideration.

I support you, not as a judge or ultimate decider, but as a companion on your journey toward self knowing.

We each walk our own paths, and every choice, whether it leads to change or maintains the status quo, carries the essence of our individuality and authenticity.

It’s okay to take your time with your decisions, explore their depths, and truly understand what feels right for you.

Your process is uniquely yours, and I’m here to help you navigate it with openness and respect.

The elephant in the room. 🐘

I wanted to share a moment that really struck me.

I have a picture of an elephant in my therapy room, and today one of my clients pointed out, “That is the actual elephant in the room.”

It really got me thinking about what “the elephant in the room” means.

It’s that big, glaring issue we all know is there but tend to avoid discussing.

It can be tough to confront difficult feelings or unresolved issues, and often we sidestep them because it feels safer.

In our sessions, that elephant symbolizes the emotions and challenges that can loom heavily over us.

By naming it, we can take the first step toward understanding and healing.

I love that this client's observation opened the door for us to address what’s hard to face.

Having this elephant picture in my therapy room is not just a fun decor choice, it’s a powerful visual reminder for both me and my clients.

It encourages conversations about those tough topics that often go unspoken.

Ultimately, facing that elephant head-on can be a key part of moving forward and finding peace.
