If your toddler is in a berry phase right now... same lol but berries are consistently some of the most pesticide contaminated produce you can buy.
Blackberries and blueberries both sit on the EWG’s 2026 Dirty Dozen list, with blackberries carrying an average of more than four pesticides per sample. And that’s before you factor in the journey from farm to your kitchen... the handling, the transport, the surfaces, the hands. Water alone doesn’t cut through that.
We use a fruit and vegetable wash by because we shower with soap not just water. Same logic. Same standard for her food. For the dirty dozen... buy organic when you can, and wash everything regardless
