This episode has been sitting in my recordings for… a hot minute. 😅

Between becoming a mom, another pregnancy, and a busy season of work, life happened. And honestly? That’s kind of the whole point of this conversation.

Today I’m finally sharing my chat with fellow Holistic Nutritionist Lisa Esposito from Lisa Esposito | Nutritionist, and I couldn’t think of a better time for this episode.

We talk about how wellness changes after motherhood, why “good enough” is often exactly enough, and how to let go of the pressure to do everything perfectly. Because real life doesn’t always leave room for perfectly planned meals, daily workouts, or a colour-coded routine, and that’s okay.

In this episode, we cover:
✨ Why wellness often shifts after becoming a mom
✨ The hidden impact of stress, rushed meals, and lack of sleep
✨ Why nourishment matters more than perfection
✨ Breaking free from bounce-back culture
✨ Building healthy habits that actually fit this season of life

Whether you’re a mom, expecting, or simply navigating a busy season, I hope this conversation reminds you that your health doesn’t have to be all or nothing. Small, consistent choices still count.

I genuinely wish someone had told me these things 10 years ago.

Instead, I spent years thinking I just had an “anxious stomach.”

I blamed my gut.
Then I blamed my anxiety.
Then I blamed whatever food I had eaten that day.

😂 It was exhausting.

I was surviving on iced coffees, granola bars, and pure cortisol.

I thought eating 11g of protein a day was totally normal.

I genuinely believed bloating after every meal, stomach aches, and only p**ping every few days was just… my normal.

So I did what a lot of us do.
I cut out more foods.
I skipped meals because I thought it would “give my gut a break.”
I spent way too much money on supplements hoping one of them would be the magic fix.

Looking back, my body wasn’t asking for another supplement or another restrictive diet.

It was asking me to eat enough.
To eat more protein.
To slow down at meals.
To manage my stress.
To stop treating my symptoms like they were random, unrelated problems.

Healing wasn’t perfect. It wasn’t linear either.

It was hundreds of small choices that slowly helped me feel like me again.

If you’re an anxious girlie with tummy troubles, I hope this carousel reminds you that you’re not broken. Your body is communicating with you, and it’s worth listening to. 🤍

Maybe this page is for you… maybe it’s not 👀

As a holistic nutritionist, I’m not here to make nutrition more complicated, convince you that every ingredient is toxic, or give you a list of foods you’re suddenly “not allowed” to eat.

I’m here for the middle ground.

🥖 Carbs can absolutely be part of a healthy diet.
💩 Healthy digestion matters, and yes, I will happily talk about p**p.
🥗 Food first, supplements when they actually make sense.
🧠 Your mental health matters just as much as your physical health.
🍕 Eating pizza doesn’t undo your healthy habits.
🌿 And taking care of yourself should actually fit into your REAL life.

Around here, we’re choosing consistency over perfection, education over fear, and sustainable habits over the latest wellness trend.

If that sounds like your kind of wellness, stick around 🤍

And if you came here hoping I’d tell you to cut out carbs and buy a detox tea… we might not be a match 😂

Happy, grateful, and honestly a little speechless. 💛

For the FOURTH year in a row, Holistic Britt Nutrition has been voted Gold in the CommunityVotes Sault Ste. Marie Awards.

Thank you to every single person who voted, trusted me with your health, shared my name with a friend, or supported my business over the years. It truly means the world.

I feel incredibly lucky to wake up every day and do work I genuinely love. Helping women simplify nutrition, manage stress, improve their energy, and feel like the best version of themselves is something I’ll never take for granted.

This award isn’t just mine. It belongs to this amazing community and every client who has allowed me to be part of their journey.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making this possible. Here’s to another year of helping more women feel their best. 💕

Just checking in… 🤍

Some of the healthiest things you can do have nothing to do with buying another supplement, following a complicated morning routine, or trying to be “perfect.”

Sometimes it’s:
• Eating lunch before 2pm.
• Choosing habits you can actually stick to on your busiest day.
• Letting go of the idea that wellness has to be all or nothing.
• Giving your body enough fuel instead of expecting it to run on coffee and stress.

If your routine only works when life is calm, it probably isn’t working for your real life.

Health shouldn’t feel like another full-time job.

It should support you through the messy Tuesdays, the busy seasons, the skipped workouts, the frozen dinners, and everything in between.

Things I find kinda chic as a nutritionist 🤍

Somewhere along the way, "healthy" started feeling way more complicated than it needs to be.

So here's what I actually think is chic:

✨ Buying the bagged salad.
✨ Eating enough.
✨ Chewing your food.
✨ Pairing your coffee with breakfast.
✨ Adding carbs to your plate.
✨ Choosing convenience when life is busy.
✨ Camping at 8.5 months pregnant because fresh air is good for my nervous system. 😂

Real health isn't about being perfect.

It's about finding simple habits that support your body, fit your life, and actually make you feel good.

If you've been waiting for permission to stop chasing perfection, this is it.

This week’s menu was basically brought to you by our farm share from Harmony & Gareth 🌿🥕🍅

One of my favourite ways to eat more vegetables isn’t forcing myself to buy something specific, it’s letting the season decide. Having a weekly box of fresh, local produce inspires me to get creative in the kitchen, eat more variety, and try vegetables I might not have picked up otherwise.

This week looked like lots of colourful, nourishing meals made with whatever was in the box, and they were some of the best meals we’ve had in a while!!

If you’ve been trying to eat healthier, here’s your reminder that it doesn’t have to be complicated. Start with whole foods, cook with what’s in season, and aim for variety over perfection. 🤍

What’s one of your favourite ways to use fresh summer produce?

HIIII!!! still here 👋🏻

life has looked a little different around here lately and I thought it was time for a photo dump.

lots of time with my girl 🤍
soaking up summer
growing a tiny human
trying to stay cool
reading way too many books

not pictured:
✨ hundreds of litres of kombucha brewed
✨ lots of amazing client calls
✨ a whole lot of behind-the-scenes work
✨ and more pregnancy naps than I’d like to admit 😅

i haven’t been showing up here as much lately, and honestly… that’s okay. sometimes life needs to be lived before it’s shared.

i’ve missed this little corner of the internet though, and i’m looking forward to sharing more with you as we head into this next season. 💛

tell me something you’ve been up to this summer ⬇️

CSA season is officially here 🌱🥬

One of my favourite things about this time of year is getting our weekly farm share. Every box feels like Christmas morning. You never know exactly what’s inside, but you know it’s going to be packed with fresh, local, nutrient-dense foods grown right here in our community.

Not only does it make meal planning more fun, but it also encourages us to eat with the seasons, try new vegetables, and support local farmers at the same time.

There’s just something special about filling your kitchen with produce that was harvested only days (or sometimes hours!) before it lands on your plate. This year I’m getting mine from Harmony & Gareth and I can’t wait to see what’s in store!

Anyone else count down the days until CSA season starts each year? 🙋‍♀️

The perfect healthy person.

For a long time, I thought wellness meant doing everything right.

The perfect meals.
The perfect routine.
The perfect habits.

Then life happened.

Real wellness is adapting to the season you’re in.

Some seasons have homemade meals and long walks.

Some seasons have takeout, less sleep, and doing the best you can.

Both can be healthy.

Both can be enough.

And if you’re waiting until life slows down to take care of yourself, this is your reminder that health doesn’t happen in perfect conditions.

It happens in real life.
