We are incredibly excited to once again support PCCS Pembina Crisis Connection Society's Education Workshop Series.
At Source of Strength Healing, we believe that education, awareness, and community conversations play an important role in healing and prevention. We are honoured to have the opportunity to contribute to this important work once again.
Our founder, Ida-Marie, will be presenting on the impacts of trauma and abuse within abusive relationships, exploring how these experiences affect individuals emotionally, psychologically, and relationally, as well as pathways toward healing and recovery.
A heartfelt thank you to Pembina Crisis Connection Society for the work they do in supporting individuals, families, and our community.
We look forward to connecting with attendees and being part of these meaningful conversations.
🤍 Together, education creates awareness, awareness creates understanding, and understanding creates change.
💜 Supporting Someone Experiencing Abuse 💜
When someone you care about is experiencing abuse, it can be difficult to know what to say or how to help. You don't need to have all the answers. Sometimes, your support, compassion, and willingness to listen can make all the difference.
Join Pembina Crisis Connection Society (PCCS) for a meaningful evening focused on understanding abuse, supporting loved ones, and learning about the resources available in our community.
We are honoured to welcome two guest speakers:
✨ Ida Marie, Clinical Counsellor with SOS Healing, who will share insight into the impacts of abuse and trauma, as well as how to provide supportive, trauma-informed responses.
✨ Roujea from Victim Services, who will discuss available supports, safety planning, and community resources that can help individuals and families affected by abuse.
Together, we'll explore: ✔ Understanding abuse and its hidden impacts
✔ How to listen in a safe and supportive way
✔ What to say (and what not to say)
✔ Safety planning and available resources
✔ Respecting choices and boundaries
✔ Self-care for those providing support
