TOUR THE DUGALD PLACE DISPLAY SUITES

Ready to tour the assisted living display suites at Dugald Place? It’s still a construction site but Dugald Place has now opened two furnished display suites for future residents and family to check out. Touring has started with many visitors commenting on the bright rooms with large windows, high (11’) ceilings, spacious kitchens, and beautiful finishes. To tour a display suite please call 204-853-2255 to reserve a time.

2-Bedroom Units

Act fast if you want a 2-bedroom; only 4 are left. The unit on display is 775 sq feet and features an open-concept vibe.

1-Bedroom Units

Several 1-bedroom units (approx. 535 sq ft) are still available, however south facing units as well as 3rd and 4th floor suites, are also going fast.

DUGALD PLACE UPDATE - OPENING IN 2 MONTHS!

Construction is on target for a November 1 official opening. The parking lot is being paved, curbing and sidewalks are all in and the pool building exterior is nearing completion. Its still a hive of activity inside. The indoor link to Dugald Estates is almost done enabling residents to move easily between the two buildings and the pool, giving inside access during winter months! Kitchens and appliances are being installed and the gorgeous Tyndall stone is being installed on the lobby fireplace. Beautiful lighting fixtures are also now in place in the lobby, dining and common areas, hallways and suites...and looking great. Suite doors are being hung; interior blinds are being installed, and common outdoor balconies will soon be getting railings. Tiling is underway in the pool changing rooms and around the pool itself; the pool liner will be next.

Tours of display suites take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting August. Register at 204 853-2255 for an appointment to view a display suite; there is already a long waiting list for tours.

Stay tuned for the next update to learn when everyone will get a chance to attend a public, on-site, "Sneak Preview" later in September.

DUGALD PLACE IS HIRING!

Join our team at Dugald Place Assisted Living Residence opening this fall. You will work in a new building and help launch a hospitality team dedicated to ensuring our seniors enjoy their golden years. The construction of Dugald Place by Springfield Heritage Housing Inc. is creating several local jobs for Springfield residents.

A planned assisted living Co-op housing in the RM of Springfield, Manitoba. Dugald Place will provide housing for those who require a greater range of supports, services and a meal program.

Dugald Place is progressing at a rapid pace in anticipation of a late October opening. The large front entrance canopy is now emerging with three communal balconies above. Kitchen cabinets are being installed with fridges and microwaves soon on the way. Flooring hallway carpeting is almost finished and painting continues at a rapid pace. The commercial kitchen is being installed along with a massive commercial freezer and cooler. The exterior of the pool building is nearing completion; tiling of the pool will soon be underway. The geothermal heating system already installed, along with the solar panels on the roof, will keep energy costs down ensuring Dugald Place will be one of the greenest seniors housing complexes in Manitoba. The exterior site is being cleared in preparation for concrete sidewalks, curbing and the exterior patio. Next will be preparation for the parking lot and landscaping.

SHHI continues to meet with potential residents. Guided tours of display suites will begin in mid-August; contact Dugald Place to register. Rents & Services start at $3495 as presented at our spring public meeting. Despite rising costs of fuel and food, SHHI is holding these rates until November 1st. Work on Dugald Place & the Community Pool continues to progress on site with interior finishing in full swing. With roughly 100 workers on site daily, the flooring and millwork has started on the main floor while painting and drywalling is continuing on the upper floors. The exterior of the pool is being finished and workers are preparing to move into the pool building. With the warmer weather arriving, the majority of the hoardings have come down revealing the completed finishes, large suite windows and dining room windows filling the building with natural light. As the project pushes to the finish line the remaining exterior timber canopies, sidewalks, parking lot work and landscaping will be starting soon.
