💪🏼 Tight muscles don’t always need more stretching…

Sometimes they need precision 🎯

Ultrasound-guided trigger point injections let us actually see the irritated muscle and surrounding structures in real time 👀🩻 — improving accuracy and helping target stubborn pain generators.

Common areas where trigger point injections are performed:
👉🏼 Neck & upper traps
👉🏼 Glutes & hips
👉🏼 Low back
👉🏼 Shoulder girdle
👉🏼 Jaw & TMJ muscles

The Goal:
✅ Reduce muscle guarding
✅ Calm irritation
✅ Help people move better again 🚶🏻‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️

Not every knot is “just tight.” ⚠️

🧠 Cervical radiculopathy might not be just a “pinched nerve” problem.

A study looking at 206 patients found that the size of a disc herniation on imaging did not predict:
❌ who would have more pain
❌ who would recover faster
❌ who would struggle long term

What mattered more? 👉 The inflammatory and chemical environment around the nerve root.

This means symptoms may be driven more by irritation and inflammation than by compression alone. 🔥⚡️

So while imaging can provide useful information, it doesn’t always explain the full picture of someone’s pain or recovery.

Treatment approaches that support and calm the nerve environment may play a bigger role than we once thought. 💡
