Medix operates ambulances and transfer vehicles for non-emergent patient transfers, event first aid and industrial first aid throughout Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland. Open in December of 2011 we have endeavored to set the industry standard for private transfer and first aid services. Duncan Days 2026 Update

Following the recent announcement from the Duncan Cowichan Festival Society regarding the cancellation of the annual Grande Parade, we wanted to provide a quick FYI for our community: Duncan Days in Downtown Duncan is still happening and will continue as originally planned. While we completely understand and sympathize with the challenges, roadblocks, and increasing obstacles involved in hosting a large-scale event like the parade, our Downtown Duncan festivities will still move forward on Friday, July 10 and Saturday, July 11, 2026.

That means exclusive sidewalk sales kicking off Friday, followed by our Saturday street party from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM featuring family games and inflatables, vendor stalls, live music, the Ironworks Motorcycle Show and Shine, local shopping, delicious food, and fun for all ages in Downtown Duncan.

We know the news regarding the parade is disappointing for many, however, we look forward to welcoming the community downtown to celebrate together and support local during the Duncan Days celebrations this year.

​A former staff member who worked with us over a decade ago recently shared this fantastic photo of his well-worn duty hat, which he continued to wear for years after his departure. While the original blue has faded over time, the crest still stands out beautifully—a gorgeous relic that shows just how much pride he took in his work.

🚑 M402 is on site and ready to work!

We're so proud of this one. Meet M402 — our second IN HOUSE custom built first aid trailer. A 26-foot trailer we completely transformed into a mobile medical centre, now delivered to our client and already under the care of our paramedic team.

This wasn't a refresh. It was a full teardown — new subfloor, new walls and floors with impermeable coatings, electrical upgrade, and a clean open layout built specifically for emergency medical care. Every decision was made with the healthcare provider in mind.
Honestly? The client wanted it before we were even finished. That's the kind of thing that makes the long days worth it. 😄

We've still got some finishing touches to add — but we're doing it the right way. Our paramedics are going to work in it for a week or two and tell us exactly where they want things. The people using it every day should have a say in how it's set up. That's just how we think it should work.

We worked long and hard to get this done on time fornthe client. We can not describe the sense of pride and achievement felt as we completed this project. To our build team that made this happen. You know who you are. You're incredible! 💪
