Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we celebrate the beautiful life of Marlene and the countless memories she gave us. On Tuesday, June 16, 2026, Marlene peacefully left this world and entered her everlasting life.
Marlene was born to Inez and Lloyd Hagerty in Dunnville on June 6, 1942. She was the beloved wife of Richard Postma for 63 wonderful years. Undoubtedly, Richard’s unwavering love, devotion, and care were instrumental, and helping Marlene create lasting memories with family and friends throughout her final years. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by family. Her daughters Diane (Billy) and Brenda (Paul) are forever grateful for the love, guidance, and example she provided as a mother. Marlene found immense happiness in her grandchildren; Alicia (Jesse), Ashley (Ryan), Becca (Cam), and Adam (Sarah). She was also the proud and devoted Nana of Lucas, Jayke, and Wrenley, who brought endless joy to her life. She will be missed by many family and friends. Marlene will be remembered for her kindness, selflessness, wit, and generous heart, always putting others before herself and making everyone around her feel loved and cared for. Over the years, Marlene enjoyed, traveling, gardening, family dinners, Square dancing, cheering on her loved ones, and above all spending time with family and friends. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and loved. As per Marlene‘s wishes, family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at Zion Cemetery, Zion Road, Wainfleet on June 19 at 11:00 am. A celebration to follow at Dunnville Hunters and Anglers Club, 237 McLaughlin Rd. Dunnville. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Kobah and the compassionate staff at Dunnville Hospital and St Catherines General Hospital for their exceptional care and kindness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dunnville Hospital & Healthcare Foundation. We know that Marlene’s strength, kindness, and love will continue to live on and all who knew her.
