What a wonderful way to return home after an inspiring few days at the EAL Symposium.
This morning, I had the opportunity to facilitate an Equine Assisted Learning session for an incredible group of local business women from Bloom: Women’s Networking & Gatherings. Thank you for your openness, curiosity, laughter, and willingness to step into the experience. It was such a pleasure to spend the morning with all of you.
A special thank you to Alyssa and Rebekah for organizing this wonderful gathering and for bringing together such a supportive and engaged community of women.
Thank you as well to Aeden, fellow facilitator and owner, for sharing your beautiful farm and for helping facilitate today's session.
I'm also grateful to Tracy from Millbrae Learning Centre, a fellow facilitator, for making the trip all the way from Milton to join us and help facilitate today's session.
Many women were genuinely touched by the experience, and it was a wonderful to see the insights, emotions, and meaningful connections that emerged this morning.
After a week of learning, sharing ideas, and reconnecting with fellow facilitators, today's session felt like the perfect reminder of why I love this work. Watching people connect, collaborate, and discover something new about themselves alongside our equine partners never gets old.
Thank you to everyone who was part of today's session. My heart is full. ❤️🐴✨

I am home.

Dusty boots by the door. The horse smell is still on my clothes, and I'm okay with that. 🐴✨

I went to this year's "Upgrade in Progress" EAL Symposium needing a refill. What I didn't realize was how empty the container had become until it started filling back up again.

Over the weekend, I learned from the Cartier and Dreamwinds' teams, researchers, facilitators, horses, and friends. 🐴

I filled pages with notes, revisited in a deep way the objectives and key components of EAL exercises, expanded my understanding of supporting our senior horses, and practiced ways to help horses reset between experiences so they can continue showing up fully for our participants. 📚

I left with new ideas, next steps, and a renewed appreciation for the people and horses that make this work so meaningful.

I am grateful for the learning. Grateful for the horses. Grateful for the conversations. Grateful for this community. ❤️
