Remember that Indigenous women and girls are 5% of the population, but 24% of all homicide victims, 12x more likely to be murdered and over 60% experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime.
Never stop fighting for justice.
What You Can Do:
❗️Please get familiar with the 231 Calls to Justice from the 2019 MMIW national inquiry report and hold the government accountable to implementation.
❗️Be an Ally. Speak up in situations that demonstrate sexism, gender based violence and misogyny.
❗️Be an Advocate for safe spaces, health services, and affordable living for Indigenous women, girls, single mothers, seniors, two-spirit and Indigiqueer folks.
