You’ve got shoulder pain. 😅 You are not alone. You might think you need to go running to the doctor for a diagnosis, but often there are tests you can do right at home to help you figure out what is going on and how to address it. 💯💪
Here are 3 tests you can utilize to help!👇
💥Yocum’s Test: Place one hand on the opposite shoulder and raise your elbow up to your forehead. A positive test would create a pinching pain. This likely indicates impingement or a slap labral tear.
💥Hornblower’s Test: Bring your arm out to the side of your shoulder with a 90 degree bend. Place your opposite hand on the outstretched hand and press down. If that causes pain, that is positive for a rotator cuff issue or injury.
💥O’Brien’s Test: Bring your straight arm up to shoulder height and then bring it across the body. Make a fist and point your thumb downward, now use the opposite hand to press down. As in Yocum’s test, a pinching pain can be positive for impingement or a labral tear.
