Health Cities has extended the deadline for expressions of interest to June 15 for the Technology-Enabled Alternate Level of Care (ALC) Environments initiative.

We’re seeking vendors with solutions that can help supportive living environments better support ALC residents with complex mental health, addiction, and behavioural needs. Selected technologies will be piloted in a functioning congregate care setting to improve care delivery, support staff, and enhance resident experiences.

A big thank-you to everyone who joined us at the Health Cities Health Innovation Networking Event yesterday! We had an incredible turnout, and the room was full of energy, ideas, and meaningful conversation across the health innovation community.

We were also excited to share something new: the launch of the Health Innovation Network— a growing community of people who want to contribute to improving healthcare through collaboration, insight, and innovation.

In honour of Rural Health Week, we would like to thank Lisa Laferriere (Vice President, Strategy) at Health Cities in Edmonton, for 2 brand new iPads that will be used to help maximize our senior's health & well-being virtually. As we know, technology has become a profound tool for our residents at The Evergreens Foundation as it supports communication with loved ones, education and learning new skills and it has been a part of providing some of our Virtual Health Collaboration projects. Without technology, we would not be able to bring some life changing programs into our facilities. This thoughtful gift will continue to help bridge-the-gap between many wellness domains that we strive to achieve at our sites.
We are looking forward to our new relationship with Health Cities in continuing to bring valuable programs to our communities.
