Crisis moments happen fast, and they can leave any caregiver feeling frozen. We built our Non-Violent Crisis De-Escalation training to change that. Over two days, we teach practical, evidence-based strategies so you can stay calm and keep everyone safe, even when things get loud. Certification is valid for three years.

On this National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Family Solutions Group honours the children who never returned home and the survivors of residential schools.

We are committed to learning, listening, and taking meaningful action to support reconciliation. As an organization that serves Indigenous children and families, we carry this responsibility every day.

Setting boundaries doesn't make you a less dedicated caregiver. It makes you a sustainable one.

Whether it's asking for help, saying no to an extra commitment, or protecting time for yourself, boundaries help you show up fully for the people who depend on you. Use the FAST Skill:

⦁ F - Fair
⦁ A - No Apologies
⦁ S - Stick To Your Values
⦁ T - Truth

You can care deeply and still have limits.

Caregiving is a full-time job, even when it's not your only one.

It's easy to feel guilty for taking a break, but rest isn't selfish. It's what allows you to keep showing up for the people who need you.

If you haven't taken time for yourself this week, consider this your reminder that you're allowed to.

For many Albertans with disabilities, live music has never felt accessible. Voices Without Barriers is here to change that.

This first-of-its-kind festival by Voice of Albertans with Disabilities Society happens Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Westin Downtown Edmonton.

With a silent market, sensory-friendly spaces, tactile features, and accessible venue design, this event is built for belonging.

We're excited to see our community show up and celebrate together.

This Labour Day, we're thinking about the caregivers who work around the clock and rarely get recognized for it.

If that's you, we see you. We honour the meals made, the appointments juggled, and the quiet strength it takes to show up every day.

We hope you get the chance to rest well this weekend.

We're here if you need the extra respite support: 780-430-7715 | crossroadsfs.ca
