Every loss matters. Every grief deserves support.

October 15 is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day, a time to honour the lives lost and recognize the struggles of families who have experienced loss as well.

Grief looks different for everyone, regardless of when their loss occurred. There is no right way to grieve, and no set time for healing.

At Insight Psychological, we understand that these experiences can bring overwhelming emotions. Our therapists offer a safe, supportive space to process grief, and navigate these difficult feelings.

Mid-semester hits different.

The deadlines are stacking up, your budget is stretched thin, and somewhere in there you’re supposed to feel okay.

We recognize the challenges that students go through with both school and financial pressure. So, until November 30th, 2026, we're bringing back our student campaign through Insight's Community Care Program.

We are offering post-secondary students their first 3 sessions completely for FREE with our Master’s-level practicum intern therapists, who work under clinical supervision. Sessions are available in-person in Edmonton, or virtually across Alberta.

All you need to do to claim is show us a valid student ID.

You don’t have to wait until things fall apart to reach out.

Email us at [email protected] to start the process!

Today is World Mental Health Day, and we wanted to take a moment to say this: you don’t have to have it all figured out to take care of yourself. Some days, self-care is a big step.

Some of our therapists shared their favourite self-care tips with you, and we hope one of them feels doable for you today.

If you’re ready to talk to someone, call us at 780-461-1717 to book an appointment. We’re here when you are.

Last week, our team had the opportunity to attend the SilverTech Summit! The event brought together community members, organizations and professionals to explore how technology can support older adults as they age.

Mental health matters at every age. Whether you're navigating through life transitions, finding support through life's challenges, or managing anxiety, we're here to help.

Thank you to the organizers and everyone who stopped by!

Last weekend, we had the opportunity to attend Hullabaloo's 5-year celebration at the Castle Downs YMCA! Hullabaloo at the Hub is put on by the North Central Edmonton Family Resource Network, and this year's carnival-style afternoon was free for families. There were games, crafts, bouncy castles, and face painting, and the room was full of kids laughing and parents just getting to enjoy their little ones.

Events like this remind us how important it is to have support systems for families and children.

That's why we created Thrive, our Child & Youth program.
Thrive offers counselling and support for children and teens (ages 3 to 17) navigating things like anxiety, depression, trauma, and more

We also offer assessments for ADHD, autism, and other developmental concerns. And because parents and caregivers matter too, Thrive includes support and practical tools for you.

If your child or teen could use a little extra support, we're here. 🧡 Book with our team in Edmonton, Sherwood Park, or Calgary through https://buff.ly/LY2mhKz or call 780-461-1717

Today, we wear orange. 🧡

We honour the Indigenous children who were taken from their families and sent to residential schools, and we hold the survivors and their families in our hearts. We remember the children who never came home. Every child matters, and always has.

On this National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, take a moment to listen and reflect.

If this day brings up something heavy for you, you don't have to carry it alone. Insight Psychological offers Indigenous-informed counselling, including NIHB-approved care, across Alberta and online.

Support is here for you when you need it.

A few gentle reminders from our therapists

Our therapists shared the things they wish everyone heard more often. Save this for the days you need it, and send it to someone who might need it too.

If you have been thinking about reaching out to someone, we would be honoured to support you. Book a session through https://buff.ly/LY2mhKz or call 780-461-1717 whenever you feel ready. There is no rush, and no wrong time to begin.
