Not all massages are created equal, especially during pregnancy.

As your posture shifts, and your center of gravity moves, your body is asking for support built specifically for this season.

Working with a massage therapist trained in pregnancy-safe techniques means targeted relief: less sciatic pain, less swelling, better sleep, and lower stress hormones for you and baby.

You don't have to wait until something hurts to book one. Come get looked after at Pine Health 💚

"Just rest it and it'll heal."

We hear this one a lot, and it's not quite right 👀

Complete rest can actually slow recovery for many injuries. Movement, done the right way, helps restore strength, mobility, and confidence in your body again.

That's where physiotherapy comes in. Our physiotherapists build a plan specific to your concern and your body, so you're not guessing at what's safe or stalling out on your recovery timeline.

Healing looks different for everyone. Let's figure out what yours actually needs 🌲

Sometimes support doesn't need to be a full session, it just needs to be a moment to pause, breathe, and reset.

Our psych interns are offering 30-minute mindfulness sessions as part of their practicum, open to current Pine clients looking for a little extra support between appointments. Rather than talk therapy, these sessions focus on mindfulness and regulation techniques, practical tools to help you feel more grounded, right when you need them.

If you're already part of the Pine family, this is a simple way to add one more layer of care to your journey.

Pregnant in Edmonton? You've probably heard it all 🫠

The comments, the warnings, the "just wait" comments from well-meaning friends and family. Some of it lands. A lot of it doesn't.

Here's what we think you actually deserve during this season: real answers from people who understand pregnancy, support that starts now (not just after baby arrives), and a team that can walk alongside you across physiotherapy, chiropractic, counselling, massage, and more, all in one place.

You don't have to figure it out alone. That's what we're here for 💚

Meet Jade Eden, our new registered massage therapist joining the Pine Health team at our Edmonton location! 🌲

Jade specializes in chronic pain, anxiety, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, women's health, and hypermobility, with a special interest in helping everyday athletes move and feel better. She holds an Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy Diploma from Makami College, alongside a 200hr yoga teacher certification that shapes how she brings mindful movement and breath into her sessions.

Jade's approach is calm and focused: she's proficient in pre and postnatal care, lymphatic drainage, gua sha, cupping, PNF stretching, deep tissue, sports massage, and trigger point therapy. Her goal isn't just relaxation, it's helping you feel supported enough to actually heal and stay engaged in your own wellness journey.

When she's not in clinic, you'll likely find her getting bossed around by Frida, her 8lb Chihuahua-dachshund mix adopted from Mexico a few years back (follow along .wellness).

Jade is accepting new patients starting October 6th, so head to the link in our bio to book. Join us in welcoming Jade to Pine Health! 💚

You may have expected motherhood to be hard. That doesn’t mean you were prepared for the exhaustion, the constant touch, or how much you might miss having time that was just yours.

Then comes the advice to sleep when the baby sleeps, enjoy every moment, and find a routine. Even well-meant advice can feel lonely when it doesn’t fit what you’re living.

You can love your child and still need a break. You can miss parts of your old life and take your time figuring out what feels right now. There’s no timeline to prove you’ve got it all together.
If these reminders feel familiar, your needs deserve attention, too. That might mean someone taking a shift so you can rest, time to yourself, or a place to talk honestly about how you’re doing.

Our team at Pine Health is here to listen to your mind and body while helping you find support that fits. You don’t have to wait until you’re at your limit.

The first trimester is a lot.

You might be exhausted before noon, navigating nausea at your desk, and somehow keeping a huge secret all at the same time. It's a season that deserves a little more support than "drink ginger tea and rest."

So here's your actual first trimester survival guide, with small daily habits and the care that can make a real difference.

🌿 At home
- Eat small, frequent meals to keep nausea manageable (even if nothing sounds good)
- Prioritize sleep over productivity, your body is building an entire human
- Gentle movement like short walks can ease fatigue and bloat
- Stay hydrated, especially if nausea is making it hard to eat

🌿 At Pine Health
- Book acupuncture early, it's one of the most effective tools for managing first trimester nausea and fatigue
- See a dietitian to learn how to fuel your body through pregnancy and to make sure you and your baby have what it needs, or to help navigate nausea and food aversions
- Connect with our pelvic floor physio and chiropractor now, not just postpartum. First trimester is a great time to establish a baseline and start building awareness
- Our psychology team is here if anxiety or overwhelm is creeping in, because the emotional weight of early pregnancy is real and worth tending to

You don't have to white-knuckle your way through the first 12 weeks. We're here to make this season feel a little more supported.

Book at the link in bio, or send us a DM. We'd love to meet you wherever you are in your journey.

Speech development isn't a straight line and every child moves through it differently.

At Pine Health, our speech-language pathologists work with families from those very first sounds through school-age communication and confidence. Here's what to expect (and when it might be worth a conversation) at each stage.

Pausing your breakdown to add oat milk to the grocery list is a very specific kind of survival skill. 🛒

But real talk: Those moments where everything feels like too much? They're not a sign you're failing. They're a sign you're carrying a lot. And you don't have to carry it alone. Our counsellors at Pine Health are here for the messy, mid-meltdown version of you, not just the "I've got it together" one.

Therapy doesn't have to wait until things get really bad. It can just be a place where you finally get to set some of it down. Your first session starts with a conversation. Link in bio to book.

The 6-week postpartum appointment after a c-section is a tissue healing check. It tells your provider your incision is closing, and that's where it stops.

It doesn't evaluate your pelvic floor. It doesn't assess your core. It doesn't look at how your body is actually moving and functioning.

And here's the thing: a c-section is the most commonly performed surgery, yet recovering moms receive the least amount of follow-up information about what comes next.

Your recovery is so much bigger than one appointment. How your pelvis is moving, how your deep core is activating, how your scar tissue is healing beneath the surface. All of that matters, and none of it gets checked at six weeks.

A pelvic floor physio can assess the full picture and build a recovery plan that actually meets you where you are.

You deserve more than a green light. You deserve real support. Link in bio to book with our physio team.
