For years, Émile followed the sport he loves from home. This summer, the 98-year-old from Lévis, Quebec, got to experience the excitement in person, travelling with his daughter to attend the US Open Men's Final in New York.

With surprise courtside seats and a front-row view of an unforgettable match, the trip exceeded every expectation.

A Little Thanksgiving Creativity at Wescott!

Our residents enjoyed getting crafty this Thanksgiving Day by creating beautiful wooden fall door hangers! With autumn colours, festive designs, and plenty of creativity, everyone had a wonderful time adding a personal touch to their seasonal décor.

It was a lovely way to celebrate the Thanksgiving season, share some laughs, and reflect on all the little things we’re thankful for. We love seeing our residents’ creativity shine!

Celebrating the joy of reading and connection!

Our residents had a wonderful time visiting Dr. Margaret-Ann Armour School during their Read-In Week! They had the opportunity to read with a few of the classrooms and share their love of stories with the students.

It was such a heartwarming experience to see different generations come together, sharing stories, smiles, and meaningful connections. What a wonderful intergenerational program that brings our community together!

We are so grateful to the school and students for welcoming our residents and creating such a special experience. We can’t wait for the next visit!

Cruise Week took residents at Chartwell Wedgewood on a virtual trip to Sweden. After exploring Stockholm through a documentary, they hit the dance floor for an ABBA disco and line dancing party, complete with Swedish-inspired refreshments. A fun-filled afternoon of music, movement, and great company! 🇸🇪🍹

A Lovely Afternoon at Prairie Gardens!

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon outing to Prairie Gardens, soaking in the beautiful surroundings, sharing lots of smiles and good conversation, and, of course, enjoying some delicious fresh pie and coffee!

It was the perfect way to spend an afternoon together—good food, great company, and wonderful memories made along the way.

Brunch by the Lake!

Our residents enjoyed a lovely brunch at Lift Me Up on the Lake, one of the new restaurants in beautiful Hawrelak Park!

It was a wonderful morning filled with delicious food, great conversation, and plenty of smiles while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the park.

There’s nothing quite like good food and good company to make for a memorable outing! We’re already looking forward to our next adventure.

We were thrilled to welcome Leaven & Rise to Wescott for an interactive Olfactory Bread Workshop all about the wonderful world of sourdough!

Our participants had the opportunity to smell, taste, explore, and learn as they discovered how our senses play an important role in experiencing bread. From the aromas of fermentation to the flavours and textures of sourdough, it was a hands-on experience filled with curiosity, conversation, and plenty of delicious discoveries.

A big thank you to Leaven & Rise for sharing their knowledge and passion for sourdough with us and creating such a unique educational experience!

Who knew there was so much to discover in a loaf of bread!
