Messages like this mean more to me than people probably realize.

When I started One Last Ride, I hoped I could give families a meaningful way to say goodbye to someone they love. After a Last Ride is over and I get a message like this, it reminds me exactly why I keep doing it.

Back to the regular routine for me today.

Driving to work this morning, watching the sunrise, I found myself thinking about the last couple of weeks and the Last Rides I’ve been a part of.

It’s funny how something as simple as a sunrise can make you stop and think.

Doing these services has changed the way I look at a lot of things. You meet families on some of the hardest days of their lives. You hear the stories. You see the people who show up. And then, when it’s over, you head home and eventually go back to your regular life.

But you don’t leave all of it behind.

Some of it comes with you.

This morning was one of those moments where it really hit me just how short life is. We spend so much time worrying about work, money, schedules, and all the little things that seem important at the time.

Then you’re reminded that none of us really knows how much road we have left.

So I’m curious…

Has there ever been a moment in your life that made you stop and look at things a little differently?

For me, I think these Last Rides are doing exactly that. 🏍️❤️

🏍️ THANK YOU — STEVE WILLIS’S LAST RIDE 🕊️

Today was about Steve, his family, and giving him a final ride surrounded by people who came together to honour his life.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to the Willis family for inviting One Last Ride to be part of such a special celebration. Being trusted with someone’s final journey is something I will never take lightly, and it was truly an honour to be there for Steve and his family today.

A huge personal thank you to Dallas and Shayla Johnson stepping up and helping me out today. Having good people beside you on days like this means more than you probably realize, and I sincerely appreciate both of you.

Thank you to the Western Valley Inn -Valleyview for welcoming us and allowing us to use your location as the gathering point for Steve’s Last Ride. Your hospitality helped give everyone a place to come together before we headed down the road.

And a very special thank you to Chozen Breed MC Wapati for joining us on the ride and helping with traffic control along the way. Having you there helped keep the procession together and allowed everyone to focus on what mattered most: giving Steve the farewell he deserved.

To every rider, friend, family member and person who showed their support today, thank you. Every motorcycle, every wave, every person standing alongside us meant something.

Steve, it was an honour to take you on ONE LAST RIDE.

Today is for you Steve, we will see all of you in Valleyview or meet in GP

🏍️ GRANDE PRAIRIE RIDERS, WE’RE CALLING ON YOU 🕊️

On Sunday, September 27, One Last Ride Ltd. will have the honour of accompanying Steve Willis on his final ride, and we’re asking the Grande Prairie motorcycle community to come together once again.

Steve’s Last Ride will begin in Valleyview and travel through Grande Prairie before continuing to Grovedale.

If you can make the trip to Valleyview and ride the entire procession with us, Steve’s family would sincerely appreciate your support. If you’re unable to make it to Valleyview, we would still love to see Grande Prairie riders come out and show their support as Steve’s procession passes through the city.

📍 STARTING POINT
Service Road in front of the Western Valley Inn
5402 Highway Street, Valleyview, Alberta

🕐 Arrival & Gathering: 1:00 PM
🏍️ Kickstands Up: 2:00 PM

PROCESSION ROUTE:
Highway 43 west into Grande Prairie → 100 Street south → right on 116 Avenue → west to Highway 40 → right at the Grovedale roundabout → Highway 666 into Grovedale.

Once we arrive in Grovedale, participating motorcyclists will turn around and conclude their portion of Steve’s Last Ride. Steve’s immediate family will continue to the family property for a private ceremony, and we ask everyone to respectfully honour their privacy.

Grande Prairie showed us just how powerful this motorcycle community can be when riders come together for a family. We’re asking you to come together with us again.

It doesn’t matter what you ride. It doesn’t matter whether you knew Steve personally. Come ride because one of our fellow riders deserves to hear the sound of motorcycles surrounding him one last time.

🏍️ A REMINDER FOR TOMORROW: STEVE WILLIS’S LAST RIDE 🕊️

Tomorrow we’ll be in Valleyview for Steve Willis’s Last Ride.

We’ll begin gathering at the Western Valley Inn 5402 Highway street at 1:00 PM, with kickstands up at 2:00 PM.

If you’re able to join us, I hope you will.

Whether you knew Steve personally or you’re simply coming to support a family saying goodbye, your presence matters. Sometimes the greatest thing our motorcycle community can do is just show up.

Tomorrow, we’ll do exactly that.

We’ll gather, we’ll ride together, and for those final miles, we’ll make sure Steve is surrounded by the sound and spirit of the community he was a part of.
