There’s nothing quite like a little friendly competition and a whole lot of laughter! 🦆💙

Last Thursday, our beautiful courtyard was filled with smiles, cheers, and plenty of excitement as residents, families, and staff gathered for our annual Duck Races. From the first splash to the final finish line, it was a fun-filled afternoon of laughter, friendly competition, and shared moments that brought everyone together.

What an incredible day at the 29th Annual Older, Bolder, Better!™ Exhibition & Symposium hosted by Westend Seniors Activity Centre!

Canterbury Foundation was proud to be a Platinum Sponsor of this amazing event celebrating seniors throughout Edmonton and the surrounding communities during Seniors Week.

Our CEO, Heidi Hadubiak, had the opportunity to present, answer questions, and connect with attendees, while our team enjoyed meeting so many wonderful seniors, families, and community members throughout the day. We also had the chance to network with fellow vendors and industry professionals, creating valuable connections that will help strengthen our community partnerships moving forward.

A huge thank you to WE Seniors for organizing such a well-attended and impactful event. We are grateful to have been part of this celebration of aging, community, and connection!

This video deeply resonated because it reflects something we witness every day; the love, exhaustion, dedication, and emotional weight that caregivers carry while supporting someone they love.

For many families, there comes a point where caregiving alone becomes overwhelming. Making the decision to seek additional support is never easy, but it can be an act of love too.

At Canterbury, we see the journey families go through when transitioning from caregiving at home to supportive living, memory care, or long-term care. Our goal is never to replace that love, but to walk alongside families and continue the care, dignity, and connection their loved one deserves.
