Today, on National Indigenous Peoples Day, we recognize and celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, languages, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples.

It is a day to honour the strength, resilience, and enduring presence of Indigenous communities across Canada, while also reflecting on the importance of truth, reconciliation, learning, and respect.

We encourage everyone to take time today to listen, learn, and celebrate the diverse histories and cultures that continue to shape our country.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, stepdads, grandfathers, father figures, and caregivers who show up with love, patience, strength, and support every day.

Wishing you a day filled with appreciation, love, and time spent with those who matter most. 💙

Anxiety is one of the most common mental health challenges in Canada. In recent years, approximately 1 in 7 Canadians have reported being diagnosed with a mood or anxiety disorder, affecting millions of people across the country. (Canada)

If anxiety is impacting your daily life, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Your primary care provider can help connect you with free mental health supports and resources tailored to your needs. Early support can make a meaningful difference.

Primary Care Networks across Alberta also offer free health and wellness workshops designed to help people better understand anxiety, build coping strategies, and support their overall well-being.

June is Men’s Health Month in Canada—a reminder that health is about more than physical fitness.

It’s about checking in with yourself, booking that appointment you’ve been putting off, paying attention to your mental health, and reaching out when you need support.

Too many men delay seeking help, often waiting until symptoms become serious. This month, let’s encourage open conversations, regular screenings, healthy habits, and the understanding that asking for help is a sign of strength—not weakness.

Whether it’s a walk with a friend, a conversation with a loved one, or a visit to your healthcare provider, every step toward better health matters.

This Men’s Health Month, take time to prioritize your well-being—because your health matters.

June is Indigenous History Month — a time to learn, reflect, and honour the histories, cultures, languages, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples.

It’s an opportunity to listen to Indigenous voices, recognize the truth of our shared history, and celebrate the strength, resilience, and traditions that continue to shape communities across Canada.

Learning is a lifelong journey. This month, and every month, may we continue to deepen our understanding, build meaningful relationships, and walk forward with respect and reconciliation.

In Edmonton, Pride Month always feels like a reminder that community isn’t something you find—it’s something you build together, block by block, story by story, person by person. ❤️

It’s about showing up as you are, making space for others to do the same, and honouring a kind of love that doesn’t need permission. From quiet everyday moments to the energy of the parade, there’s something grounding about watching a city reflect back all its different colours. 💙

Happy Pride Month—to everyone still finding their place, and to everyone helping make space for others to feel safe in theirs. 🏳️‍🌈
