For this week’s edition of 25 facts to celebrate 25 years, we’re sharing some special facts about our incredible volunteers! 💜

Across our many volunteer programs, including the Stollery Women’s Network and the Stollery Story Squad, generous individuals give their time to ensure more of the funds we raise go to supporting world-class care for Stollery kids and their families.

For this month’s volunteer feature, we want to say thank you to all our volunteers who helped build the foundation of the Stollery, 25 years ago.💜

Corinne, who's featured in this video, is one of our longest-standing Foundation volunteers – volunteering for more than 20 years! Her favourite event is Snowflake Gala – she loves the magic of the evening and watching the awe and delight of the kids.

She’s met many Stollery families both in-person and over the phone at Corus Radiothon and hearing their stories is what motivates her to continue supporting the Stollery and make sure they can continue receiving the best possible care and support right here in Edmonton.

When she's not volunteering, you can find Corinne selling tickets for the Mighty Millions Lottery, knitting socks and sweaters, playing golf and walking outdoors year-round! Her favourite thing to do is hang out with her friends and family, especially her two young grandkids.

Stollery kids come from across Alberta and beyond. So do the people who fundraise for them.

As we continue to cele-BEAR-ate 25 years of excellence at the Stollery, we’re recognizing three of our longest-running rural fundraisers. Each organizer dreams up, plans, co-ordinates and runs their event with one goal: helping kids. And each one knows the Stollery from the inside.

💜 Talitha's Fight To Cure Pulmonary Hypertension - Talitha's Hope 4 A Cure
Nicole Moores and her daughter, Talitha, are marking the 14th year of Talitha’s Hope 4 A Cure. Talitha is a Stollery kid herself. She was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension (PH) at age 3, and Nicole has been an amazing advocate for PH and the Stollery ever since. Every year, Nicole hosts a large event in Fort McMurray. She’s built incredible community support and raised more than $1.5 million for PH, all while making countless trips to the hospital with Talitha.

💗 Girls Day Out
For 14 years, Kristen Belland has brought women in Breton, Alberta together for Girls Day Out. She gathers unique silent auction items and makes sure every guest knows the impact of their donation. She’s faced forest fires near her property as well as her daughter’s own Stollery journey. Through it all, she’s kept the Stollery a priority.

⛳ Children's Charity Golf Classic
In Bonnyville, the Reid family’s Children’s Charity Golf Classic is celebrating year 16. Mark and Andrea’s daughter, Kennedy, was born with Costello syndrome, a rare genetic condition. She had many Stollery appointments and surgeries in her first 17 years. Mark and Andrea shared her story to bring their community together for kids like Kennedy. Kennedy is an adult now, but the Reid family remains committed to a cause near and dear to them: Stollery kids.

It’s Slurpee Day at the Stollery! 💜❄️7-Eleven Canada brought lots of frozen treats today for Stollery kids and their families!

7-Eleven is now in its second year of supporting the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation through the Children's Miracle Network. We’re so grateful for their continued support!

You can join 7-Eleven in supporting the Stollery by donating at their till from October 28 to January 5, 2027. Every donation helps make a difference for Stollery kids and their families.

Thank you, 7-Eleven, for bringing smiles, Slurpees and support to our Stollery community!

While we’re celebrating 25 years of Stollery care this month, our partners at Costco Wholesale Canada are celebrating raising more than $10 million dollars in support of Stollery kids and their families!

Since 1992, Costco members and employees across northern Alberta have rallied behind kids’ health, collecting donations in support of the best programs, equipment, research and training at what is now known as the Stollery Children’s Hospital. Thank you, Costco, for reaching for the stars and supporting Stollery kids today and for generations to come. 💜

As we look back on 25 years of the Stollery Children's Hospital, we can’t help but think of those who’ve been supporting since the very beginning!

Swagelok Edmonton (Edmonton Valve & Fitting Inc.) is a long-time corporate donor that’s been making a huge difference for Stollery kids since our very first fundraising campaign.
