As we move into the colder season, Laurel Heights Recreation Team hosted an end of season Gardening Club party. Our Gardening Club had 20+ participants with a wide array of beautiful flowers making all of the outdoor spaces look amazing.

We celebrated with Green Tea and Apple Crumble Pie, alongside awarded Certificates and Coffee Mugs!

There is something about a warm summer day that invites you to slow down and take it all in. The air is a little warmer, the light lingers a little longer, and the world feels quieter.

At Optima Living, we make it easy to enjoy summer to the fullest. From sunny afternoon walks along our beautifully maintained grounds to patio socials, outdoor games, and barbecues, there is always a reason to step outside and embrace the season.

Last Month, Laurel Heights hosted our very own Casino Night. This was filled with laughter, smiles and of course Winning! We had a wide variety of different games host by the Laurel Heights team including: Blackjack (21), Roulette, Craps, Slot Machines, and Texas Hold Em! Many of Bingo Bucks were both won and lost, but all the fun was had!

Today marks Canada Day, a day to recognize the people, communities, and everyday moments that contribute to life across the country. More than anything, it is a day that highlights connection, as people across the country take part in the celebration in their own way.

Within our Optima Living communities, Canada Day is enjoyed in meaningful ways, with residents coming together to share time, take part in light gatherings, and enjoy the sense of connection.

Together, we can make sure no one in our community goes hungry. From June 1st to July 6th, we're collecting non-perishable food donations and cash to support local families facing food insecurity. 💙

Enjoy classic treats like poutine, butter tarts, and Nanaimo bars, along with refreshing maple-flavoured lemonade and iced tea. Take part in Canadian-themed crafts, trivia, bingo, live entertainment, and a festive photo booth as we celebrate the people, places, and traditions that make Canada unique.
