Vitae Fertility Education At Vitae Fertility, we teach the Marquette Method. It's easy to learn, highly effective, and taught by RNs.

The Marquette Method is a type of Natural Family Planning which uses Clearblue Fertility Monitors to precisely track your LH and estrogen levels. Vitae Fertility Education is run by a Registered Nurse trained as an instructor of the Marquette Method of Natural Family Planning. By tracking the hormone levels in a woman's body throughout her menstrual cycle the woman is able to identify the time in

her cycle in which she is fertile. She can use this information to achieve or avoid pregnancy or to track hormone imbalances she may be experiencing. The Marquette Method boasts the highest efficacy rates of the mainstream NFP methods, outranking Billings, Creighton, and Symptothermal! In regular cycles it is 99% effective at avoiding pregnancy when used with an instructor, and when used during the breastfeeding/postpartum phase it is 98% effective. The Marquette Method utilizes urinary hormone levels and can detect the fertile window more accurately than most other methods. A more accurate detection of the fertile window means less days of abstinence per cycle! In-person courses are available at this time, and online courses will be available in the next few months. Individual and group sessions are offered, with discounted rates for group sessions (5 couples or more).

Mucus methods require elaborate mucus tracking classifications, and constant observation throughout the day…we know, we’ve been there, too... 🙋‍♀️

Test your p*e once a day, let the monitor do the analyzing, and record your results.

Early on in my practice as a Marquette Method instructor, I noticed many of my clients had questions the standard manual didn’t address, especially around breastfeeding.

In fact, most of my clients were coming to Marquette because they were breastfeeding!

With permission from the Marquette researchers, I created two comprehensive manuals:
▫️ One for regular cycles
▫️ One for breastfeeding women (different protocols)

These guides have become a cornerstone of how we teach at Vitae Fertility.

💡 Did you know cervical mucus doesn’t reliably correlate with fertility while breastfeeding?

A 2018 study found that mucus didn’t match fertility about 65% of the time in breastfeeding women.

👉 Some women had lots of mucus, nowhere near ovulation
👉 Others were dry, right at ovulation

That’s an uncomfortable situation!

Here’s what’s happening…

During breastfeeding, the body experiences waves of estrogen, and those waves are triggered by breastfeeding, not ovulation.

➡ Mucus is a response to estrogen.

➡ So when estrogen is “wavy,” mucus can be, too.

Which makes it confusing! 😵‍💫

The Marquette Method tracks hormone levels directly, so you’re not left guessing whether you can trust your mucus observation or not 📈

Your NFP instructor knows a lot about you. Here are some things worth knowing about them 🤓

💚 Your Marquette Method instructor is highly trained in women’s health and fertility tracking.

💚 They are healthcare professionals (like doctors and nurses) who bring real clinical knowledge into their teaching.

💚 After completing formal training, instructors must pass the MMPA Certification exam (this is the MM Teacher equivalent of the NCLEX).

And it doesn’t stop there!

To stay certified, they must:
✅ Teach a minimum number of clients each year
✅ Present case studies to p*ers
✅ Complete ongoing continuing education

All in, your instructor has a TON of education, and that education is going to help you!

You’re being guided by a healthcare professional who understands how your body works - and how things like stress, illness, and medications can impact your cycle.

❔Can my husband attend the Marquette session with me?

❕NFP is a two-person sport. It’s best if both partners attend the training session.

That said, we understand that schedules can make it difficult for your husband or your fiancé to attend the class together with you. It’s ok if it’s just you.

Because we teach online via video calls, distance isn’t a problem. We regularly have couples logging into their training sessions from different devices, and even different countries!

And, babies are welcome too. (It’s never too early to learn about NFP, right?) 💚
