At Vitae Fertility, we teach the Marquette Method. It's easy to learn, highly effective, and taught by RNs.

The Marquette Method is a type of Natural Family Planning which uses Clearblue Fertility Monitors to precisely track your LH and estrogen levels. Vitae Fertility Education is run by a Registered Nurse trained as an instructor of the Marquette Method of Natural Family Planning. By tracking the hormone levels in a woman's body throughout her menstrual cycle the woman is able to identify the time in

her cycle in which she is fertile. She can use this information to achieve or avoid pregnancy or to track hormone imbalances she may be experiencing. The Marquette Method boasts the highest efficacy rates of the mainstream NFP methods, outranking Billings, Creighton, and Symptothermal! In regular cycles it is 99% effective at avoiding pregnancy when used with an instructor, and when used during the breastfeeding/postpartum phase it is 98% effective. The Marquette Method utilizes urinary hormone levels and can detect the fertile window more accurately than most other methods. A more accurate detection of the fertile window means less days of abstinence per cycle! In-person courses are available at this time, and online courses will be available in the next few months. Individual and group sessions are offered, with discounted rates for group sessions (5 couples or more).

🤷‍♀️ Clearblue? Mira? Either way, we’ve got you!

You don’t need to figure out if you should be using the Clearblue or Mira fertility monitor on your own.

👩‍⚕️ Every Vitae Fertility instructor is fully trained in both monitors, so whichever monitor makes the most sense for you, you’ll be in good hands.

Most clients start with Clearblue, and that’s our general recommendation, but the choice is always yours.

Not sure which is the right fit? Your instructor can help you decide based on your specific cycle and needs.

And if you start with Clearblue and later want to switch to Mira, no problem! Your instructor will walk you through the new protocols in a follow-up session, at no extra charge 😊

Ever notice how you never worried about cervical mucus…until you started tracking it for NFP? 🫣 Suddenly the topic lives rent-free in your head…

Some women deal with mucus that’s just always there. Does this mean they’re actually fertile all month long?? 😱

(Spoiler alert: no. It’s not possible to be eternally fertile; your mucus is lying to you 😅)

With Marquette, you don’t have to track mucus at all, unless you want to.

Instead, you test your hormone levels directly with a simple urine test, so you get a clear answer.

You won’t have to guess at whether your mucus is fertile mucus or not, anymore 😮‍💨

This is especially true during the postpartum breastfeeding transition, when mucus signs can be present but aren’t always a reliable sign of your fertility returning.

After a couple of surprise pregnancies while using a mucus method of NFP, my husband and I decided it was time to look into a different method of NFP!
