At Vitae Fertility, we teach the Marquette Method. It's easy to learn, highly effective, and taught by RNs.

The Marquette Method is a type of Natural Family Planning which uses Clearblue Fertility Monitors to precisely track your LH and estrogen levels. Vitae Fertility Education is run by a Registered Nurse trained as an instructor of the Marquette Method of Natural Family Planning. By tracking the hormone levels in a woman's body throughout her menstrual cycle the woman is able to identify the time in her cycle in which she is fertile. She can use this information to achieve or avoid pregnancy or to track hormone imbalances she may be experiencing. The Marquette Method boasts the highest efficacy rates of the mainstream NFP methods, outranking Billings, Creighton, and Symptothermal! In regular cycles it is 99% effective at avoiding pregnancy when used with an instructor, and when used during the breastfeeding/postpartum phase it is 98% effective. The Marquette Method utilizes urinary hormone levels and can detect the fertile window more accurately than most other methods. A more accurate detection of the fertile window means less days of abstinence per cycle! In-person courses are available at this time, and online courses will be available in the next few months. Individual and group sessions are offered, with discounted rates for group sessions (5 couples or more).

❓Did you know not all postpartum bleeding is a period?

Mistaking postpartum bleeding for your period (or vice versa) can lead to unnecessary abstinence or even a surprise pregnancy.

💬 “Why do you use NFP?”

This question comes up a lot in my personal world…from fellow soccer moms, my doctor, my kids, friends who aren’t Catholic…and you know what I realized?

The truth is that there isn’t just one reason that I use NFP…I have a whole list!

Charting your cycle when you’re using the Marquette Method of NFP is simple and it doesn’t require much thought on your part 🤗

All you have to do is:

1️⃣ Collect your morning p*e sample

2️⃣ Test your sample using a test stick and the Clearblue fertility monitor

3️⃣ Go on about your day.

Once you’ve tested for the day, you can come back later and chart your monitor results!
