Meet our counsellor, Charity.
Charity’s work in mental health began in community-based settings, including after-school
programs and as a youth and family worker within a school environment. She further deepened her commitment to supporting young people by completing her Children’s Mental Health Certificate at Mount Royal University in 2021. These early experiences shaped her belief that healing begins in safe, consistent, and supportive relationships.
She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, completed in 2019, which strengthened her understanding of the mind-body connection and the ways stress, trauma, and emotion can be carried both physically and psychologically. This perspective continues to inform her integrative and holistic approach to care.
Charity completed her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology in 2025 and has a Canadian Certified Counsellor designation.
She is a trauma-informed, relational therapist who integrates Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy within an attachment-focused and culturally responsive framework.
She works primarily with youth and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma-related
concerns, emotional regulation challenges, identity development, relationship difficulties, self-
worth struggles, and personality disorders. Charity brings warmth, curiosity, and steadiness to
her sessions, balancing thoughtful emotional exploration with practical tools that support
meaningful change.
She believes that when we approach our experiences with curiosity rather than judgment, growth becomes possible.
