Maybe it’s your first holiday without them. Maybe your tenth.

You’re making the grocery list and remember the dish they always brought. You’re surrounded by people but missing the one person you wish you could talk to.

Sometimes, the hardest part is the lead-up: wondering how you’ll get through dinner, whether anyone will say their name, or if you’ll feel able to join in.

You don’t have to measure your grief against how much time has passed. You’re allowed to keep a tradition, change the plans, or enjoy a moment without it meaning you miss them any less.

If you’d like support this coming holiday season, reach out and ask about connecting with Loree.

No one talks about this part. You miss feeling wanted and your partner misses being able to show affection without worrying it will lead on to an expectation of something "more."

But, one wants more. So you reach for them hoping to feel close and they pull away. You feel rejected and they feel pressured. You feel like you're on two different planets, fantasizing about the earlier times when it was "easier."

And now? You've stopped initiating because another "not tonight" hurts too much.

When desire doesn't line up, it can become hard to separate how often you are physically intimate from what it seems to say about your relationship: "Are you still attracted to me?" "Is my affection enough?" "Can I say no and still feel close to you?"

Neither of you is wrong for experiencing desire differently. You both deserve room to talk about your experience without pressure or blame.

Jayme, Registered Provisional Psychologist, can help you put words to what's happening between you, understand the pattern you're caught in, and explore ways to connect that feel good and safe to both of you.

Sometimes connection looks like a deep conversation. And sometimes, it’s a quick check-in, a shared laugh, or sitting beside someone without needing to fill the silence. 🩵

Those small moments matter. They remind us that we’re seen, valued, and don’t have to navigate everything alone.

Its Saturday. Take 10 seconds to slow down. If your brain feels loud today, start here. You don’t need to fix anything — just notice.

And while you’re noticing, ignore the coffee grounds floating in my cup. My coffee machine betrayed me.

Before the vows, have the conversations. Not because something is wrong. Because something matters.

Pre-marital counselling creates space to talk about finances, conflict, family dynamics, expectations… the everyday parts of marriage that don’t make it onto the wedding highlight reel.

Strong marriages are intentional.

We are here to guide growth. Pre-marital counselling in West Edmonton & virtually across Alberta.

When was the last time you truly unplugged?

Not just from your devices. Not just from work. But from the constant mental load, expectations, and pressure to always be “on.”

If your mind feels foggy, your patience is thin, or everything just feels a little too much… take this as your sign to pause. Step away. Breathe. The world won’t stop if you do—and you’ll come back stronger.

Relationship burnout happens when emotional exhaustion takes over, leaving one or both partners feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or resentful. It’s not about a lack of love—it’s about emotional fatigue.

Signs of Relationship Burnout:
• Feeling emotionally drained by interactions
• Increased irritability or tension over small things
• Avoiding difficult conversations or quality time
• Feeling more like roommates than partners
• Questioning whether the relationship is “worth it”

What Causes It?
• Unresolved stress spilling over into relationships
• Lack of emotional support or feeling unheard
• Neglecting connection as daily life takes over
• People-pleasing or constantly putting your partner’s needs first

How to Reset:
• Communicate openly and express feelings without blame
• Prioritize quality time and small moments of connection
• Set boundaries and allow for personal space when needed
• Seek support if challenges feel too big to navigate alone

Feeling disconnected doesn’t mean the relationship is failing. It means it needs care.

Men’s mental health isn’t talked about enough, and we’re here to get loud about it.

For too long, men have been expected to push through, tough it out, and figure it out alone. But silence doesn’t equal strength. Asking for help, talking about what’s really going on, and supporting each other? That’s real strength.

Men experience stress, anxiety, depression, and burnout just like anyone else—but they often don’t feel like they have permission to talk about it.

Let’s change that.

Our providers are welcoming new clients, no waitlist.
