She is certified in Active Release Techniques, Konkussion, Graston and Rocktape. Dr. Mecca Fayad received her education in San Jose California where she graduated from Palmer West Cum Laude in 2014. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Alberta and returned home to practice on 124th street. During her time at Palmer she received the Clinical Excellence Award signifyin
g outstanding service to patients as nominated by faculty members. Mecca was also an active member of the Sports Council Program where she would attend and provide care at events around the Bay Area including the Sea Otter Classic, San Jose Double Road Race, and Regatta Sailing Competitions. It was here where Dr. Fayad gained experience in helping athletes maximize performance while minimizing injury. Today Dr. Fayad is thrilled to care for some of Edmonton’s finest professional athletes including members of the Edmonton Oilers, FC Soccer Club & Edmonton Eskimos. Dr. Fayad also travelled to India as part of a Clinic Abroad Program where she provided free chiropractic care to under-served children in June 2014. Currently, Dr. Fayad serves as the spokesperson for the Profession Football Chiropractic Society. During her free time Dr. Fayad enjoys reading, running, yoga, cycling, travelling, baking and spending time with her wonderful family.
