EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) in a Nutshell)

The Apex Effect. EFT works so well and so effectively that people sometimes even forget they had the problem. SUDs: Subjective Units of Distress. On a scale from 0 to 10, how big a problem or issue is it? With 0 meaning no problem, 10 meaning the worst possible problem. Some Common Psychological Reversals (subconscious, negative, or self-sabotaging

beliefs) - while rubbing the sore spot, repeat three times. If you feel more is required, repeat three times with the karate chop point. (You will probably feel some kind of shift or change, once you get in tune with your inner knowing.)

Even if they may not consciously register as a belief or fact with you, you may have some subconscious beliefs that require attention. Tapping points

1. Close Eyes
2. Open eyes
3. Look down to the left
4. Look down to the right
5. Sweep eyes around in a circle (around the clock) one way.
6. Sweep eyes around in a circle (around the clock) other way.
7. Hum aloud a few bars of any music.
8. Count aloud to 5.
9. Hum a few bars again. Gamut Sandwich

Yesterday I was at the medical lab and this poor little boy with a needle phobia was being ganged up on by his mom, the phlebotomist, his sister and one other employee. “It won’t hurt much,”his sister said. It won’t hurt any more than a flu shot, his mom cajoled. I just just don’t want the needle, he insisted. I tried to offer my services but I was resisted. Finally I sat beside him and surrogate tapped,and said out loud, ”Even though no body is listening to me and what I want, I’m still a good boy”. Even though I’m afraid the needle will hurt, I’m a good boy”. “Even though my mom is worried about me and I need a blood test to find out what’s wrong with me, I’m still a good boy.” I could see he was calming down a bit, but at this point, the mother told me firmly, ”We’re fine, thanks”, so I left. I don’t know if it was enough to calm him down for his blood test, but I had done what I could.

The 5 Most Common Reasons People Seek EFT Help from Me:
1. Anxiety. This includes social anxiety, public speaking anxiety, agoraphobia, other phobias, test anxiety, and performance anxiety of all kinds. Treating anxiety with EFT is one of my specialties.

2. Pain. Pain is a great motivator for people to get some help. When there is an emotional component to pain, doctors typically shrug their shoulders and suggest that they don't treat psychosomatic disease. Psychosomatic means having to do with mind and body. The term is often misunderstood and denigrated. Psychosomatic pain is real pain and EFT is a very effective treatment for it.

3. Weight Control Issues. This includes dealing with high blood pressure, over-eating, eating the wrong types of foods, eating when full, emotional eating, boredom eating, low desire to exercise, craving control, and body image issues. Although everyone "knows" the key to weight loss is to "exercise more and eat less", EFT takes a slightly different approach that many of my clients have found helpful.

4. Smoking Cessation. Similar to the above issue, includes craving control, dealing with past and present reasons for smoking, increasing motivation. Clients learn a new way to deal with cravings using EFT.

5. Relationships. This includes work conflicts, marital conflicts, divorce anger and grief, and even grief associated with bereavement.
EFT is a wonderful tool for getting some perspective on a relationship issue.
