A day of learning, connection and celebration.

This week, staff, volunteers and community members came together for an Indigenous Health Education Day at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital.

Through storytelling, music, dance, land-based learning and cultural teachings, participants had the opportunity to learn from First Nations, Métis and Inuit knowledge keepers, artists and educators.

From hoop dancing and fiddle music to throat singing and Indigenous games, the day created space for meaningful conversations, reflection and shared learning.

Throughout National Indigenous History Month, we'll be sharing highlights from the day's sessions and the individuals who generously shared their knowledge, stories and experiences.

Thank you to all of the presenters, organizers and participants who helped make the day such a meaningful experience.🧡

Late Thursday afternoon, the Grey Nuns Community Hospital received a bomb threat. The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) was called immediately. EPS investigated and has stated the threat does not appear credible.

Patient care within the hospital continued during this incident.

We are very thankful to EPS for their immediate and thorough response, and to Grey Nuns staff who continued their work to support patients.

Hospital operations have returned to normal.

Stuck doing the same scans on repeat?

Your skills deserve more variety than that.

If you're a CT Technologist working in a private clinic or stable rotation, here's what hospital work at the Misericordia or Grey Nuns hospitals looks like day-to-day:

→ Stroke protocols, cardiac exams, trauma, complex pathology
→ Direct collaboration with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams
→ Custom onboarding built around YOU, not a generic checklist
→ Experienced educators who actually have time to teach
→ Overnight shifts where your scan can be the reason someone gets a timely diagnosis

We're hiring CT Techs at both sites in Edmonton. Permanent, part-time and night rotation options available.

Leading with care and responsibility🌳

This week, leaders from across Covenant came together at our annual Leaders Forum to reflect and explore new ways to support their teams.

The insights gained through these conversations help leaders better support staff, navigate the complexities of healthcare and foster respectful, inclusive and supportive workplaces.

By investing in leadership, we invest in the people who support our teams every day.

Because strong leadership helps create better experiences for staff, physicians, patients, residents and families🤝

June is National Indigenous History Month.

A time to recognize and celebrate the rich histories, cultures, traditions and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples.

It's also an opportunity to learn from Indigenous voices and deepen our understanding of the diverse communities that help shape Canada today.

This month, we encourage everyone to take time to listen and engage with the stories and experiences of Indigenous Peoples.

Together, we can foster greater understanding, respect and meaningful connection.🧡

June is Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈

A time to celebrate, recognize and support members of the LGBTQ2S+ community across our sites.

Pride Month is an opportunity to learn, reflect and continue building spaces where everyone feels safe, respected and welcome.

Through compassion, inclusion and meaningful action, we can help foster communities where people are supported to be themselves and feel a true sense of belonging.

Because everyone is welcome here!💙

Burgers, sunshine and the people who keep rural health care strong! 🌾

Yesterday at St. Joseph's General Hospital in Vegreville, we fired up the grill to celebrate Alberta Rural Health Week and the incredible teams who bring care closer to home every single day.

A huge thank you to the team at St. Joseph's for organizing this. 👏
