What’s your VO2 max?

A VO2 max test is the gold standard measure of your aerobic capacity.

How hard you can push.

How fast you recover.

How long you can hold effort.

Tested here at ARC using a Hans Rudolph respiratory mask, the same equipment found in medical research labs.

The test can also be used to tell you where your heart rate zones lie so no more guessing.

We took Austin through a carb oxidation test to find his exact fuelling numbers.

Overfuel and your gut can’t process it fast enough. Bloating, nausea and sometimes 🤮

Austin came to ARC for a carbohydrate oxidation test - a 90 mins steady state effort that measures exactly how much fuel his body can process per hour.

Carb absorption is the single biggest performance variable most endurance athletes don’t measure.

A 5% improvement in fueling efficiency can sometimes be the difference in a PR or DNF in a race.
