Thank you, doesn't even begin to cover it.
Since sharing that Above Average Wellness was broken into, so many people have reached out with concern, love, suggestions, offers to help, and messages asking what we need.
I feel so much love and so do James and Ellie
What happened was awful. It was frustrating, violating and sad. But the way people have shown up has reminded me again and again why this community means so much to me and why I will always fight for us to have a space to gather.
It has been incredibly humbling to have so many amazing humans offer support including replacing things that were stolen. That part honestly brings me to tears. I have received so much love I haven't even has a chance to respond to everyone.
Thank you. Truly.
A few people have asked how they can help, so we have created a few ways for the community to gather and support us as we recover.
We will be hosting:
Sound Bath and Yoga Nidra by donation on Sunday at 1:30pm with Kristin and I
Permission to Scream by donation on Friday July 3 at 7:30pm with Gillian
And then on July 4, we will also be having a sale in the shop.
Coming to any of these events, shopping the sale, attending regular workshops, or joining Self Love Summer are all incredible ways to support Above Average Wellness right now.
And if you cannot make it in person, please know that sharing the events is genuinely one of the most helpful things you can do.
Invite your friends. Send the posts to someone who might need them. Tell your family. Share the sale. Tag someone who has been meaning to come in. Help us get the word out. Even commenting on and sharing this post helps so much.
This is how small businesses recover. Not from one single thing, but from many small acts of love, care, showing up, and community.
These events are not just fundraisers. They are also a way for us to be together, to move the emotion, to rest, to breathe, to scream if we need to, and to remind each other that this space is still here.
Thank you for caring about Above Average Wellness.
Thank you for loving this space with me.
Thank you for helping us recover from this set back.
