As we sit and reflect on the Sacred Release Retreat weekend, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude.
To the incredible women who attended, thank you.
Thank you for saying yes to yourselves.
Thank you for arriving with open hearts, even when it felt scary. Thank you for trusting us to hold space for your healing, your stories, your tears, your laughter, your breakthroughs, and the parts of yourselves that have been waiting to be seen. The courage it takes to show up in a room full of women and allow yourself to be vulnerable is something we will never take lightly. Watching each of you soften, release, connect, and step into your own power was one of the greatest honours of our lives.
To our practitioners, thank you for the care, wisdom, and compassion you poured into every session. You didn't simply provide a service; you held space. You showed up fully for each woman who sat in front of you, offering your gifts with such integrity and heart. Beyond that, you allowed yourselves to be seen too. You shared pieces of your own journeys, your own healing, and your own humanity, creating a space where everyone felt safe enough to do the same.
To our support facilitator, Shelley, there are truly not enough words.
Thank you for being the steady presence that carried so much of this weekend. Thank you for holding space for every emotion, every conversation, every breakthrough, and every moment in between. Whether someone knew they needed support or not, you were there with compassion, understanding, and an open heart. The yoga, guided meditations, ecstatic dance, and sound bath were beautiful gifts, but it was your presence that touched so many lives throughout the weekend.
To Dorothy, our hearts are so grateful for you.
You nourished every single one of us in more ways than one. The countless hours you dedicated before the retreat even began, the early mornings, the long days, the late nights, and every meal prepared with love did not go unnoticed. You helped create an environment where women could simply be held and cared for. Beyond the incredible food, you created moments of connection, conversation, comfort, and community. You quietly carried so much of this weekend, and we are endlessly thankful for you.
To Marissa, thank you for capturing this weekend so beautifully.
Photography at a retreat like this is no small task. It requires so much more than simply taking photos. It requires awareness, intuition, respect, and understanding when to step forward and when to step back.
Thank you for documenting the moments of joy, connection, laughter, growth, and sisterhood while always being mindful of the sacredness of the space we created together. You understood that some moments were meant to be witnessed through a lens, while others were meant to remain held within the circle itself.
Your ability to honour both the experience and the women within it allowed us to preserve memories of this weekend without ever taking away from the safety and vulnerability that made it so special. We are deeply grateful for the care, professionalism, and heart you brought to every moment you captured.
And finally, to ourselves.
This retreat was born from a dream, but bringing it to life required us to walk through our own fears first. We entered this weekend carrying fears of being seen, fears of not being enough, fears of stepping fully into the work we feel called to do. Somewhere between the tears, the laughter, the healing, and the connection, those fears began to dissolve.
This weekend changed us too.
We witnessed what happens when women come together without judgment, competition, or expectation and simply choose to support one another. We witnessed courage, healing, forgiveness, release, and transformation.
To every person who played a role in making this weekend what it was, thank you.
The Sacred Release Retreat will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
With so much love and gratitude,
Jessica & Lise
