Transition Prenatal Education

Transition Prenatal Education Helping to make your pregnancy, birth, postpartum & parenting as empowered and informed as possible There is no right or wrong way to birth your baby.

As doulas, our intention is to provide non-judgemental, client centered support, helping you achieve a beautiful and fulfilling birth, as you define it. Every person deserves the ability to fully understand their options and feel completely supported in whatever they choose. Whether your birth is vaginal, cesarean, medicated, unmedicated, home, or hospital birth, we support you in whatever path un

folds and help you feel empowered and informed. We believe birth, in all its forms, is a sacred and transformative journey. Transitional support into parenthood is profoundly important. The birth of parents is just as significant and beautiful as the birth of babies. A healthy baby is important, but is not all that matters. The memory, experience and feelings surrounding your birth sets the stage for your transition into parenthood.

We are so thrilled to now be offering a birth prep video series, in addition to our well-loved workshop! While we are no longer supporting births in a doula capacity, Transition Prenatal Education is in full swing!

⭐️ How does this video series differ from the 1-Day Birth Prep Workshop? ⭐️

Our ❤️ 1-Day Birth Prep Workshop ❤️ combines the foundations video modules with an immersive, in-person experience designed for deeper connection, hands-on learning, guided discussion, and real-time support. In addition to this foundational video module series, you’ll spend the day alongside other growing families practicing comfort measures, movement, partner support techniques, birth positions, advocacy tools, and having space to ask questions and process fears or uncertainties in a supportive environment.

The ❤️ Foundations Birth Prep Video Series ❤️ is a self-paced online option created for families who want grounded, evidence-informed birth education from the comfort of home. It includes the core educational content from our workshop in a flexible format that you can revisit anytime. While it doesn’t include the in-person group experience or hands-on practice components, it offers a beautiful foundation for approaching birth feeling informed, calmer, and more confident. Videos include approximately 3 hours of content.

And yes! You can always upgrade later to join the in-person group workshop if you change your mind. 😃

Recently we created videos for all of our “fact heavy” workshop content. We’re not naturals - clearly. We had so much fun doing this and can’t wait to offer this to our workshop clients. Having pre-recorded video content means that our time together in-person at the workshop is more meaningful, impactful, and engaging. Dare I even say…..FUN!? Enjoy this blooper reel at our expense. 😄

We have been best friends in business together for 10 years. We have sat in the mud with each other through really heavy stuff. We’ve witnessed each other give birth. We’ve supported each other through ours births. We’ve raised our kids together. I mean, I’ve even had her amniotic fluid splash all over me. So yeah - sometimes we smooch. 😘

We are so professional.

Evidence.

A 2025 study published in AJOG adds powerful, up-to-date data showing associations between doula care and improved maternal and newborn outcomes.

Key Maternal Outcomes:

More vaginal births after cesarean (VBAC): For every 100 patients who received doula care, there were 15 to 34 additional VBACs compared with those without doula care.

Higher postpartum follow-up attendance: 5 to 6 more per 100 received postpartum office visits.

Key Neonatal / Infant Outcomes

Increased exclusive breastfeeding rates: Babies whose families had doula support were more likely to breastfeed exclusively.

Fewer preterm births (and early preterm births): Doula-supported births showed a reduction in preterm birth rates.

In short, the study links doula care with improvements in birth outcomes — across birth mode (more VBACs), infant health (less prematurity), and early infant care (breastfeeding, postpartum follow-up).
