Helping to make your pregnancy, birth, postpartum & parenting as empowered and informed as possible There is no right or wrong way to birth your baby.

As doulas, our intention is to provide non-judgemental, client centered support, helping you achieve a beautiful and fulfilling birth, as you define it. Every person deserves the ability to fully understand their options and feel completely supported in whatever they choose. Whether your birth is vaginal, cesarean, medicated, unmedicated, home, or hospital birth, we support you in whatever path unfolds and help you feel empowered and informed. We believe birth, in all its forms, is a sacred and transformative journey. Transitional support into parenthood is profoundly important. The birth of parents is just as significant and beautiful as the birth of babies. A healthy baby is important, but is not all that matters. The memory, experience and feelings surrounding your birth sets the stage for your transition into parenthood.

We recently found out about Safe Space Alliance 🌈 and are a verified safe space! We have always made inclusivity and safety a priority in our workshops and our content. This organization is a LGBTQI+ led nonprofit that helps people identify, navigate, and create safe spaces for LGBTQI+ communities worldwide. Their two core activities include maintaining an online directory of spaces around the world that welcome and support LGBTQI+ communities, and helping LGBTQI+ people get to safety. Being part of the Safe Space Alliance is being part of a global and collaborative network that welcomes and supports LGBTQI+ communities. They will help us continue to unlearn, learn, and improve, and let people know that they are safe with us.

We are looking for seven families to participate in our Rainbow Baby Photo Shoot with !

A rainbow baby is a child born after loss. For some individuals, the idea of a rainbow baby brings comfort and hope. We want to celebrate that and honour your family’s journey using photography.

Here are all the details:

- Where and when: 9:00am on Sunday, July 12 in Sherwood Park
- What to wear: a single rainbow colour (you’ll work with us to pick one)
- Who to bring: your rainbow baby!
- What it costs: the donation of your choice to Tiny Footprints
- What you get: 2 edited digital photos (additional photos $60+tax)

This memory popped up today. 10 years ago I attended my first birth without my mentor 🎉 I think back to the excitement I felt. The nerves. The thrill. And guess what? That never really changed! Okay - maybe the nerves went away, but birth has always remained thrilling, enchanting and an absolute mystery. Birth is incredible. And here I am, 10 years after my very first birth as a doula, in my third year of my nursing degree, charting a new path for myself in the birth work world ♥️

I could not be more proud of our Erin! 🥹 Today I watched her walk across the stage at the University of Alberta’s 2026 Convocation - making her Bachelor of Education degree officially-official. 💜 Erin has been a teacher for a very long time. Education comes second nature to her and she is incredibly skilled at connecting with any group of people she gets in front of. Now she has the expensive piece of paper and the letters beside her name to make it official! 🧑‍🎓 Join me in congratulating this absolute warrior of a woman who has overcome unbelievable obstacles and hardships to reach this summit. 🏔️ Great things are headed her way!
