❤️ A HUGE THANK YOU TO THE PARKLAND LODGE AUXILIARY GROUP! ❤️

We are so incredibly grateful for this wonderful group of volunteers who work hard throughout the year to fundraise and make a difference in the lives of our residents! 🥰

From providing birthday and Christmas gifts to our residents, to supplying w**e and ch*****ne for holiday celebrations, the Auxiliary Group does so much to help make Parkland Lodge feel like home! 🎁🍾

Their generosity continues with an incredible $10,000 donation to the Matamao Club! This donation will help cover the cost of bus passes, trips, and in-house activities for our residents, creating more opportunities for fun, connection, and memorable experiences! 🚌🎉

Thank you to the Parkland Lodge Auxiliary Group for everything you do for our residents and for always going above and beyond to enrich their lives. Your kindness, dedication, and generosity mean so much to our Parkland Lodge community! ❤️

We truly couldn’t do it without you! 🫶

✂️ WARNING: High risk of glitter, giggles, and extreme holiday confusion at Parkland Lodge today! 🎃🎄
We had an absolute blast at our card-making workshop with the wonderful Eva Drysdale! We couldn’t decide if we wanted to spook someone or spread holiday cheer, so we just did both.
One minute we were gluing together creepy-cute Halloween "BOO" banners, and the next minute we were diving headfirst into Christmas candy canes and holiday cards! Hey, why not celebrate October-December all in one afternoon? 😂
Huge thanks to Eva for keeping us organized, inspired, and sufficiently caffeinated while we crafted up a storm. Our hands might be covered in glue, but our hearts (and room decors) are ready for the holidays!

Thanksgiving Craft Night at Parkland Lodge with the fabulous Christy was a BIG success! 🎨🍁
We got together, got crafty, and turned a whole bunch of buttons, leaves, pinecones and fall goodies into some absolutely gorgeous Button Wreaths! 🍂🧵
There may have been a little glue… a LOT of buttons… and possibly a few moments of “Where did my button go?!” 😂 But with good company, plenty of laughs and some creative minds at the table, these ladies knocked it out of the park!
The finished wreaths are BEAUTIFUL — each one as unique as the amazing ladies who made them. 🧡🍁
A huge thank-you to Christy for bringing the creativity and making our Thanksgiving Craft Night one to remember! ❤️
At Parkland Lodge, we believe crafting is good for the soul… and apparently, hoarding buttons is a perfectly acceptable hobby. 😂🧡
🍂 Happy Thanksgiving from our crafty crew to yours! 🍂

The cards are flying, the pegs are moving, and the competition is already getting seriously competitive! 😄♠️♥️♦️♣️
Our cribbage tournament is officially back, and what a way to kick things off!
🏆 1st Place: Dale & Verna
🥈 2nd Place: Linda & Joanne
🥉 3rd Place: Theresa & Roza
And of course, no tournament would be complete without a little bit of heartbreak… 😂
🎁 B***y Prize: Jean & Will — better luck next time! 😉
💰 And then we had Dorothy & Dian, who managed to lose a game by a whopping 61 points! 😳😂 Their consolation prize? They got to go home with their entrance fees! We call that a strategic financial recovery! 💵🤣
It was a fantastic afternoon filled with laughs, friendly rivalry, plenty of cards, and maybe just a little bragging rights!
Welcome back, cribbage crew — may the best pegs win! 🃏🏆❤️

🧡 Honouring Truth and Reconciliation Day at Parkland Lodge 🧡
Today, we took time to listen, learn, reflect, and remember.
Our morning was spent watching The Indian Wars: A Change of Worlds, giving us an opportunity to reflect on the history, experiences, and lasting impacts on Indigenous peoples and communities. It was a meaningful time for conversation, learning, and remembering why truth and understanding are such an important part of reconciliation.
Our kitchen team also helped us connect through food by preparing a wonderful taste of Indigenous-inspired cuisine. We enjoyed:
🦬 Bison burgers
🍁 Maple-glazed salmon
🌽 Three Sisters vegetables
🫓 Fried bannock
🫐 Saskatoon berry pie
🧡 Orange Shirt cookies
There was plenty of good food, thoughtful conversation, and moments of reflection throughout the morning.
Today—and every day—we remember the children, families, survivors, and communities whose stories deserve to be heard and remembered. Every Child Matters. 🧡

🌲🛥️ Parkland Lodge Takes on Maligne Lake! 🏔️💙
What a MAGICAL day we had! Our Parkland Lodge crew packed up and headed out for a beautiful day at Maligne Lake — and Mother Nature definitely showed off for us! ☀️
We were blessed with amazing weather, breathtaking mountain views, sparkling blue water, and plenty of smiles along the way. The boat tour was absolutely spectacular, and there may have been a few moments of “WOW!” coming from our group. 😉🛥️
There’s just something special about getting out, exploring, laughing with friends, and making memories together. Our seniors proved once again that adventure has no age limit! ❤️
A huge thank-you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special. We came home with happy hearts, full cameras, and memories that will last a long time! 📸🥰
Great weather + great company + even better views = one heck of a Parkland Lodge adventure! 🌲🏔️💙

🌸✂️ A Little Paper, A Lot of Laughs! 💌
There’s just something special about card-making with Eva! 💕 We always have an absolute blast getting together, picking out the prettiest papers, adding a little sparkle, and—of course—sharing plenty of laughs along the way!
Our talented ladies were busy creating some beautiful handmade cards, and I think it’s safe to say there was more fun than glue sticks could handle! 😂
Eva brings such a wonderful energy to our card-making sessions, and we love seeing everyone’s creativity come to life. 🥰
Beautiful cards, creative minds, good company and lots of laughter… that’s our kind of afternoon! 🌷💌✨
