You don’t have to handle everything on your own.

Living with a chronic illness can be overwhelming, especially when you have to manage medical appointments, medications, treatments, and everything else life brings.

If things become too much, please remember that it is okay to ask for help. Reach out to your family, friends, or someone you trust, whether you need someone to accompany you to an appointment, help with daily tasks, or simply listen when you need to talk.

You don’t have to wait until you are exhausted before allowing someone to support you. Asking for help does not make you weak or a burden, and you deserve the same care and understanding that you give to others.

Please remember to take care of yourself, too. You deserve to rest without feeling guilty, enjoy moments of happiness, and live a life that is more than your illness and responsibilities.

You don’t have to prove your strength by doing everything alone. Sometimes, strength means accepting help, taking things one day at a time, and allowing the people who care about you to stand beside you.
