Community Living Essex County Community Living Essex County envisions a society where everyone belongs, has equality, respect and acceptance.

Since 1961 Community Living Essex County, a non-profit, registered charitable organization has been committed to assisting people of all ages who have an intellectual disability and their families throughout Essex County. The gifts, uniqueness and innate value of each person is celebrated, supported and acknowledged as essential to the completeness of the whole community. We help the community develop its capacity to welcome and support people who have not always had equal opportunities to participate in community life in meaningful, productive ways. Over 700 employees and many dedicated volunteers join together to provide quality supports and inspire opportunity for people with intellectual disabilities of all ages across Essex County. We’re excited to share Beyond Barriers, a new series created, hosted and filmed by youth with disabilities from Windsor-Essex.

The series explores disability, accessibility and inclusion through real conversations & personal experiences and plenty of personality, with an important message: see the person, not the disability.

📺 The season premiered on September 14, with episodes airing Mondays at 6:30 PM and Tuesdays at 6 PM on Cogeco yourTV.

We’re excited to see Brianne taking part in the Community Living Ontario Inspiring Possibilities conference in Toronto!

Brianne sits on the Council of Community Living Ontario and joined the Council this morning for a plenary presentation at the conference.

Brianne is also the President of New Day, Leaders of Today and sits on the Community Living Essex County board of directors. We’re proud to see her bringing her experience and perspective to conversations happening across the Community Living movement.
