I started my career as a Paramedic in 2001 followed closely by being a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2003. I have lived in many places throughout Saskatchewan from northern to southern villages/towns/cities. They are with us 24/7 but are often neglected until it is too late. We may get dry, cracked skin, corns, calluses, fungal infections, ingrown nails, plantar fasciitis and maybe even wounds. Over

the years, through nursing, I have helped individuals in a nursing home or hospital setting which made me realize that preventative care is needed. I started Sole Much Better Foot Care in 2019 to help those in my community and surrounding area take that step in putting themselves first and receive Nursing Foot Care. Working with healthcare colleagues, Physicians and Podiatrists, referrals are exchanged to give you the best possible outcome. In 2021, I gained my Pedicure Technician certificate which gives me the opportunity to provide a broader range of foot care treatments. Thai Foot Massage combines the energy healing benefits of reflexology with the benefits of therapeutic massage by incorporating the entire lower leg, knee and foot in the treatment. Taking care of your hands and nails is as important as taking care of the skin on your face. Your hands and feet provide you with independence. Let me give you a manicure to help you keep your hands and nails in great shape.

As a Year 1 student her goal is to build clientele with in the community. Every massage booked supports her goals for clinical hours.

Her service:
Receive a 60 minute massage to relax, restore and rejuvenate. My focus a year one student is to enhance circulation, reduce muscle tension and deep relaxation. I chose this career because I believe in the power of massage for not just muscle healing but healing within one's self whether it be tension, stress, aid in injury recovery, or just relaxation. Working towards being a massage therapist my goal is to help people heal which give a sense of reward.

I currently left my job of 10 years in the automotive service industry to pursue RMT. Rather then fixing vehicles I want to focus on fixing people. I have been local to the area since 2007. Growing up in a small town I graduted from highschool in 2015. I currently am enjoying life with my husband and toddler Kyzleigh living on a acreage not far from atwater. Hangnail on Your Toe??

How can a small, torn piece of skin next to the nail often cause so much discomfort or pain? Caused by tight shoes, dry skin, poor overall skin care, or accidental trauma, the tiny piece of skin can catch on socks or footwear, worsening the tear and potentially leading to infection if neglected.

NEVER pull it for removal! This often opens the skin, causing bleeding and increased risk for infection.

DO:
Trim carefully and use a file to smooth the rest.
Apply antiseptic when appropriate.
Keep it moisturized.
Wear comfortable footwear.

Seek medical attention if:
Increased redness or swelling: May indicate a worsening local infection.
Pus formation: A clear warning sign that bacteria may be involved.
Severe pain: Persistent throbbing despite home treatment.
Fever: Can suggest that the infection is spreading.
Red streaks: A more serious sign that needs prompt medical evaluation.
