🌈✨ What a joy-filled, love-filled celebration this weekend! ✨🌈
This year marked the second annual Centre Wellington Pride celebration at the Wellington County Museum & Archives, and we are still smiling.
Last year, we welcomed over 400 community members. This year, by our last count, we welcomed nearly 700 people through the celebration! 💛
The growth has been incredible, but even more meaningful has been seeing so many people come together to celebrate community, inclusion, and belonging.
🧡 We listened to your feedback from last year.
💚 You asked for more vendors.
💙 More games.
💜 More food.
❤️ More activities for families.
And this year, we delivered!
From expanded vendor spaces and family activities, to line dancing, live music, door prizes, and plenty of opportunities to connect, there truly was something for everyone. One of my personal favourites was our sensory-friendly quiet space in the museum gardens, offering a peaceful retreat for anyone needing a moment to recharge. 🌿
At Hope Centered Counselling, we were thrilled to host our booth again this year. Our prize wheel was a huge hit (as always!), and the water gun battles may have been just a little too much fun! 💦🎯
As a member of the Centre Wellington Pride Committee and Youth Engagement Coordinator, I feel incredibly proud of what our community continues to build together. None of this would be possible without our amazing Pride committee members, who work tirelessly behind the scenes all year long to bring this event to life. We are also so grateful to our volunteers, sponsors, performers, food vendors, artisans, local businesses, community organizations, youth leaders, booth hosts, and the many businesses that generously donated door prizes. It takes an entire community to create a celebration like this, and my heart is so full seeing what we can build together when everyone brings their unique gifts to the table. 🏳️🌈
And the best part? We're just getting started.
📅 Mark your calendars: Centre Wellington Pride is held on the second Saturday of June each year at the Wellington County Museum & Archives.
If you missed us this year, we'd love to see you next year. 🌈✨
Until then, enjoy this photo dump from an unforgettable day! 📸💛
