Yin Yoga with Somatic Movement Integration Training
Hybrid - both online and in-person sessionsin partnership with Evolve Fitness Fort Erie
This training is a unique approach to teaching and practicing the stillness of traditional Yin poses with the movement of Somatic practices. Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine theory, organ pair and meridian concept, nervous system regulation principles, and somatic breath work, it provides a framework for a balanced practice that supports opening blocked energy centers and releasing chronic tension patterns in the body, to support vitality and well-being.We will be exploring:
* Practice of core Yin Yoga asanas alongside somatic movement and breathwork
* Knowledge of the philosophy and practice of Yin Yoga
* Physiological effects of Yin Yoga on fascia, connective tissue, and joint health
* Nervous system regulation theory and how somatic movement supports the release of chronic tension patterns in the body through pandiculation
* Somatic breathwork practices linked to Traditional Chinese Medicine organ pairs to support energy flow and release stagnation
* Functional anatomy and skeletal variation in Yin Yoga practice
