Growth is always worth celebrating. 🌱

As Hines Health Services continues to grow, we have expanded our Fort McMurray headquarters to create additional space for our people, operations and national recruitment services.

CEO and Founder Kristi Hines stopped by to celebrate Helen’s new office over a cup of ROSE herbal tea and another successful recruitment placement, as our team prepares to welcome a nurse to Calgary to support one of our valued clients.

It was a simple moment that represented something much bigger: creating opportunities for healthcare professionals, strengthening our capacity and continuing to grow alongside the clients and communities we serve.

One of the best parts of the Calgary Stampede is running into people you haven’t seen in ages! While out on the circuit, Kristi Hines and I had a mini Fort McMurray reunion when we randomly bumped into Blake Robert.

Hines Health Services was proud to support community-based health services in Janvier and Conklin in partnership with Chard Métis Nation.

Through recent mobile dental and optometry clinics with our partners, community members were able to access important care closer to home, including eye exams, glasses, dental hygiene services, x-rays, and referrals for follow-up dental treatment.

The response from both communities was very positive and reinforces the importance of accessible, consistent, and practical health services in the community. Across the recent visits, 61 eye exams were completed, 36 pairs of glasses were provided, and 28 dental patients were seen, with many receiving referrals for follow-up restorative dental care.

We are grateful to Chard Métis Dene, the local community teams, the Conklin Multiplex, the Janvier Municipal Office, and the healthcare providers who helped make these clinics successful.
At HHS, we believe healthcare access should be respectful, practical, and close to home. We look forward to continuing to support future health and wellness initiatives in partnership with Indigenous communities across the region.

Our 2026 Annual General Meeting brought together business leaders, elected officials, industry partners, and community builders for an afternoon focused on advocacy, economic growth, and what comes next for our region.

From Minister Eleanor Olszewski’s reflections on resilience and recovery, to an insightful keynote conversation with incoming Canadian Chamber of Commerce Chair Carmen R. McNary on economic cycles, energy, workforce development, and Canada’s competitive future, this year’s AGM highlighted both the strength of our business community and the opportunities ahead.

The event also celebrated a year of Chamber advocacy, welcomed the 2026 - 2027 Board of Directors, and reinforced the important role Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo continues to play in provincial and national conversations.
